On another point...what I find funny is that you will probably find more people to vote against a "popular" actor but the thing is that most of these people have better things to do and at the end of the day don't really care who wins a scripted show 😆...

But really unbiased mods isn't too hard to ask for...

As for someone in this thread asked for an example of an A grade actress that is subject to personal opinion but you find me a Nargis or Sridevi😉

Also omni these actors with "huge" fan bases I.e. those on IF they are always shown up sooner or later by a better actor who is totally ignored and bashed... I wot say who or where but let's say one person took all the awards away whilst the "popular" actor wanted to leave the show the PH did not even care 😆

Popular my shoe dirt. Only if the global popularity was judged by the well knownness on IF, Virtual Bhaiyaa aka Vijay Bhatter would have been the most popular man on earth 😆 Talk about popularity of a mediocre actress with average looks. It speaks volume but only on IF. 😆

Being popular on IF means nothing in the real world... I am sure if I asked people watching these soaps everyday I.e. grandparents none of them would even know who Barun sobti or DD even are... They know the character and don't care about the actor...

Tomorrow it will be a new show and new actor

Minnie, so I guess our LONG posts in the JDJ thread explaining the differences between Gur-Ti/DD/Gchee fans etc wasn't noticed and read by everyone.. 😆

I think there needs to be drawn a line between criticism and bashing, and a topic explaining that needs to be posted in JDJ forum. So people will actually know that calling someone a mediocre actress is not exactly "bashing" and does not give you the right to get all personal.

😆 I'm confused by why someone would take the phrase "B-grade, C-grade, D-grade" as bashing or abuse. Isn't it a normal ranking of celebs? You here it all the time, the a-lister this, or the b-grade movie that. These people really need to get a grip and realize saying a show is crappy aint abuse.

I have several favourites participating this year - I'd love to watch - Suresh Menon, Siddharth Shukla, Karanvir Bohra, Shaan and Meghna Malik. And even though I like them as actors or performers, I'd be more than happy to bitch about their performances if they are crappy dancers (which I suspect many would be).

So yeah, I don't get this pankhi mindset of support at any cost -

1. My idol looks like crap, hasn't shaved for days and has a bird-nest growing on his head* - "thudz yaaraz - he's so hot!!!!!!!".

2. My idol looks like he's stuffing chocolate cake day and night and the only two expressions on his face are smirk and extra smirk - "omg - he looks like a Greek God and is the Robert De Niro of India!!"

Omni - even though I agree with the general gist of your argument, I don't like the idea of tarring everyone with the same brush just because they work in TV shows. There are several very good actors and actresses who work in TV shows - Surekha Sikri, Supriya Pathak, Varun Badola, Vikram Gokhale.
