Posting all FF links for an author in one place

Hi,

I am an avid reader of FF's on this forum and have often found myself facing a major problem. Its a very tedious and practically an impossible job , searching for FF's by an author if we have not been to their threads for a while.

Also old FF's might exist but unless the thread gets bumped with a comment, they are almost inaccessible.

Writers try to overcome this problem by posting threads which contain lists of all their FFs but even those threads get lost if unattended for a long time.

I do have a small design suggestion. If , in the members profile page, we can add another tab pertaining only to writings of that member?

It would only contain a list. Each list consisting of , a text field for title/name of their work, its kind possibly(FF/OS/SS), and a hyperlink to it.

1. Title:___________________ Type: FF/OS/SS Link: @_______________-

2. Title:___________________ Type: FF/OS/SS Link: @_______________-

That would save from threads being created for just these links all the while, and also improve our(the reader's) accessibility and search options.

I do hope you look towards addressing this problem.

hey dear,
I do believe many of the forums do have a thread called media/FF thread where authors can PM the DT of the section to add add their FF links there🤔.

With regards to Fan Fiction forum, i will discuss this with my fellow team members and see what can be done😃.

Hey.. thanks for the reply, .. I do know about media center/ ff links corner in forums.

The problem is , most of the times writers do not update there in time.

Moreover , It gives only their works on that particular forum. If I want to check for other Forum FF's of theirs, I have no way to find that out.

A writer may reply to PM's for links ,but often it takes a long time for them to do that.

If I simply click on the name of a member, and i get their basic info, .. it would definitely help to get all their links(for any forum ff) right there itself, right?

these are just suggestions,.. anyway.

^^hey, you can always click on their profile and check their posts...you may see their other work too like u have mentioned above:)

Its hard to have a tab with one authors entire work cause people are active on diff forums and some use the same FF with diff characters in diff forums etc.

That's the FF index, it's a wee bit tedious to go thru it, your suggestion sounds great ! But oh well, until that comes in(if it ever does) looking thru posts of the writer and the above is the only way :)
