There has been a lot of reshuffling internally and a lot of members who were not active in the DT has been relieved of the responsibility. From time to time we do invite active members who have always contributed well to India-Forums and have forum management skills to join the Dev Team and help us manage the forums.

The list that was recently posted by Priya is a temporary measure to make sure that all the forums has atleast 1-2 moderators. We would be looking at more people to be part of the DT from time to time.

but here i would like to give my concern about sns forum of star plus..

if i will say i am voicing thoughts of most of the mebers of that forum i will not be wrong.. we are all concern about the promotion done for particular forum, where dt has fully ignore the contribution of coolbie i.e -TELLYADDICT- aka Sadhli's contribution..

she also part of dt and always active on the forum without any break.. but there was no promotion done for her.

Sadhli is lifeline of this forum we surely want her to monitor us..

the first thing we got from our viewbie is to close petition letter of forum members where she said that she has correspondence our concern but thing is that how can we be sure of that until and unless we got this surety from some If admin deptt...especially in such condition..

i wish our viewbie has not stopped us from saying our words.

I second the thoughts of Sam... please promote Sadhli as the moderator of the forum... she's the main reason & the driving force for many of us to visit SNS forum... she has taken lots of pain & hardwork to keep the forum clean & interesting ... please don't ignore our earnest request...

I agree I mean they are people which I am not going to name have worked hard regarding of them not being online for some time they still worked hard in one of the TV Forums and I hope we get some good people in the DT I mean I won't have the chance so I want to see someone else having the chance of becoming part of the DT.

While I don't necessarily think what you have said is wrong, I do think the way you have expressed it is wrong.

I think most of you are overlooking the fact that were it not for Vijay & Priya we wouldn't even be having a site called India Forums. We are not looking at the hard work that these two admins have put into the forums. By each day the forum grows with members.

Coming to most people's concern about the new promotion list, I understand your frustration. I mean I don't look around in every forum and see the DT, but when a majority of people raise their voice (for example for TellyAddict) then there is a reason they are doing so. Now I don't know which forum you guys are talking about, but I'm sure since most of you think TellyAddict should have been promoted, then well she should have been. Its as simple as that. Coming to some other members you have named that weren't promoted that should have been promoted I disagree with! I don't think it'll be wise to mention names so I'll refrain from doing so, but maybe there was a logical reason that they weren't promoted and I'm glad they haven't been promoted! Posts by members say a lot about them. And I'll just leave it at that...

I'm not quite sure about the process of being promoted, but I do know that in order to be promoted one has to follow a strict guideline of rules. Again, I do agree with the initial post that some that deserved to be promoted weren't promoted. While others who are never active were promoted. I do agree with that. And trust me its very frustrating when you have an inactive DT. BUT at the same time we also got to understand that we only have 2 admins versus a countless number of members. Vijay and Priya have a huge load. They too are human beings and can overlook some things (like promoting the deserving people). I'm sure if you take up the issue with them personally, they will do something about it! With many of you requesting TellyAddict to be promoted, I'm sure that soon enough she will be promoted. I know we all have been waiting for the promotion list for so long now and the posting of it was quite delayed. But we got to understand that most of us also have a life outside of IF with our family & friends. The job for looking for deserving candidates is a tough one. And sometimes we overlook those deserving candidates. As the days go by, this forum increases with the amount of members but the admins are only 2.

As Vijay pointed out they are still looking for deserving people to be promoted. The biggest thing here is that patience is the key. I know sometimes we all tend to get really impatient, but we need to understand that their job is a tough one and that they are trying their best to improve the forums and satisfy the members. But they too are prone to mistakes!

I am sure that soon enough all the deserving members will be promoted within time and you all will be satisfied. :-)

I myself felt bad for not getting promoted then i re thought , i went through my own posts in the forum i worked for and i knew why i was not promoted.

We cant ask the DT to make the DT efficient and to promote everyone who works , both together.If you think you were totally deserving in every case then ask higher DT abt it , .

I think to achieve a efficient DT this is the perfect way . To achieve something we have to let go something . =)
