I have a request and a suggestion to make :

Being a Groupbie I don't know all the factors that lead to the banning of a member's posts(though I'll read them in some time) but I would really wish that instead of temporarily banning ALL the posts by a particular member why don't you ban JUST the offensive/rule breaking posts. I'm saying so because there are members who write so well on this forum...poems, FF's etc., all the creative work of theirs get erased in a moment and this is heartening to see. There are works which should be accessible to new members also but as they have joined recently most of the posts of these writers are banned and hence cannot be viewed.

This was just a request and I really hope that the administrators will look into this problem.

Thanks.

Also I would like to know why is the number of posts posted by each member counted?
There is a mad rush on this forum to post comments even if people end up posting non-sense most of the times.
If you want to create different levels you can do that by seniority level or by some other way. The day I became a member of this forum I found this weird that the number of comments I'll post will be counted πŸ˜†

I've seen fans writing one word and then leaving the post as it is or just writing "nice/lovely/beautiful update" on the FF's , as if by liking the update they are not conveying the same message.

What I personally feel is that if the number of posts are not counted then people will post only the relevant comment, we'll have something good/literary/critical to read and not just flip over the pages with nothing relevant to read.

Everyone will post only if they something new to add to the ongoing discussion and there will be less repetitions.

Levels can be created among members, that's not a problem because this facilitates us to know who is the Moderator, Viewbie,Coolbie etc. etc.

Thanks for reading my post 😊 and it would be kind of you if you reply.
Bye.

Hi there

U make a gud point banning only offensive posts but the admin wud have to search the entire database of members for each of there offensive posts nows some members have thousands of posts n hundreds of pages of posts simply put the admin simply dnt have the time to do that it would take forever

They have other forum related responsibilities too

Hi! baz786,

Thanks for appreciating the point I made and for dropping in your views. :)

I would like to add that the offensive posts/links do get reported to the administration, so they can put an end to that particular thread or at the strictest level can even delete/clear off the offensive posts. This way the other posts of a particular member do not get deleted and remain open for the new members to read. I really feel, let creativity flourish ... for the poor thinking of a person at one time he can be punished by deleting the thread itself, if this option is there.

Even if these things do not get reported and the administration lands on the page then he/she can solve the problem by closing the thread and clearing off the posts.

Bye.

Hey
atlast you posted this here , I remember you posting this in new members section. I was waiting when you would post this here. I actually love your idea. I would like to add a bit to your suggestion . I think the people can get banned leaving the posts in Video mix corner , fanfiction corner and Avatar and siggy corner. It would be easier for the moderators. If the person is banned due to not following rules in FF, A&S and VM then moderators can ban their posts from these sections too.

Hi! 😊 Daffodils, thank-you so much dear.

I completely agree with your suggestion. It would be really good that the administration does not ban the creative work of the people and leave it untouched. It's really a nice idea that the works in the above mentioned ^^three sections should be left untouched ( until and unless it's plagiarized 🀒 ).

It's true that usually the chats on various forums leads to a ban on anyone's account, but the result is that the other posts of the member also gets invisible due to these offensive talks.

It takes a lot of effort to create a small piece of writing or art, and it's very disheartening to see when your work gets deleted or doesn't reach the masses.

Let the creativity flow and flourish. πŸ‘πŸΌ

Bye.
