vijay plz don't do that
its nice to look back on old chat topics for purposes of nostalgia
even if they are inactive n locked
this really means IF taking a step back rather than forward
IF is a forum at some point all topics will be locked n that means deleted according to what ur saying plz don't take such a drastic step
at least ask the members if they wud like that
i know i wudnt, all the fond memories of new members joining gone coz the topics have been deleted
if that was to happen im not sure i wud come on IF as often
as alot of the time im here reading old topics, great fun topics from before i was a member
plz don't delete the locked topics

Hi Guys plz posts ur thots on what vijay has said
i for one dnt want locked chat topics to be deleted
All the memories will be gone

The main reason for doing that is to conserve the database space and most of the topics are filled with +1 kind of posts which people might not be coming to see it again.

However we do understand the point you are making but we can provide a way where you can get the entire chat log in your email so that the most important ones you can even save it.

We are yet not decided on when we will doing this and we are open to suggestions on this.

Cheers,
Vijay

I would personally not want the CCs to be deleted coz even today we visit our old CC and have fun thinking about those old things. But its your call afterall 😊

We do go back to the old topics regularly, its more easier to go through it here rather than the complications of emails and all that ! 😳

Thats not a cool idea at all....Deleting CCs equals to deleting our precious memories, removing the posts which indicated the times when new friendships were growing on IF...preserving those posts somewhere else wont give us the same feeling.
CCs should not be deleted!! 😊

Wouldnt it be better to delete the "bashing actor/character/show" topics on other forums. Those topics are locked and wont ever be opened again and it causes fights in the other forums as well. Its better to delete those topics, rather than deleting the old chat club topics.
