The thing I like about the CT serial is that the story moves forwards rather organically. The situations all arise as a result of previous happenings. Random weird storylines are not inserted (like SM which I don't watch but have seen the promos of). And yet, there is some variety in the storylines. I guess it is because they have not been on air long enough to run out of plot points for their original premise. And though quite a lot of the plot points are quite cliched and seem very fan-fictiony, the story moves fast enough and the lead actors have amazing chemistry.

I used to watch the initial episodes of RR and now don't watch it at all as I got totally exasperated by the simpering imbecile that is Semba. But from the promos, it appears that there is no growth in the characters there. It seems like people torture Semba, she is still a doormat and unable to stand up for herself, Karthik helps her, Semba succeeds in whatever it is that she does, people torture her again in another way; rinse and repeat. One step forwards, two steps back. No advancement at all. That makes it boring as well as annoying. Also, as the others here have said, it appears that they have run out of ideas for RR as well. In CT, at least there has been a character arc so far for N and Annam to an extent.

I also like that they foreshadow or at least include scenes that have significance later in the CT serial to a certain extent that is not typical in a serial. Eg. CT finding out earlier in the serial that N likes kids when she offered to sponsor those girls' education and later CT using that information to celebrate N's birthday. Or when N drew her dream guy during the time that CT had his makeover and her drawing abilities served as a plot point for her realization of her love. Or the wedding albums photo taking session. They are not perfect. I mean, suddenly they showed CT as this really good painter (though I suppose maybe he making the N doll is an indication of his artistic abilities?). But I find that perhaps other serials (from what little I have seen) do not seem to plan out their plot lines as well and events just happen with very little proper build-up.

Anyway, this is the only serial I watch regularly (i.e. every day). Hopefully, it never descends to the level of the unintentional comedy that is the SM storyline.
