What's your view of Glasgow's Commonwealth bid win?

Glasgow has beaten the Nigerian city of Abuja to hold the Commonwealth Games in 2014.

There were celebrations in the Scottish city as the decision of the 71 voting nations was announced in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

It has been estimated that it will cost the city 288m to stage the sporting event, with most of the funding coming from the Scottish Government.

Where were you when the result was announced? What will the win mean for Glasgow and for Scotland? Will it be worth the effort and the money? What will the legacy be of holding the Games in Glasgow in seven years time?

yeah it was good, i think its a better choice than abuja nigeria

its gonna be hectic in the uk for a while sporting terms with the uk hosting 2012 olympics and 2014 commonwealth games and 2015 rugby world cup and now england bidding to host 2018 football world cup 😃
