-Chelsea lifted a European trophy before Liverpool ( the same Liverpool FC that till date boasts of their European success )

-Chelsea had the best average attendance in England 10 times from 1908 to 1955 and 5 times between 1907-1914.

-Chelsea were the first team to average more than 40,000 during one season.

-Our FA Cup final replay against Leeds in 1970 pulled in a television audience of 28 million, the best there has been for a club game in England.

-The second highest attendance ever at an English game was recorded at Stamford Bridge (82,905) in october 1935

-A crowd of 67,000 attended a league game against Manchester United on Good Friday in 1906 a then-record for a football match in London.

- 55,000 attended the first-ever London Derby in the top division, then-record for a First Division match.

-77,952 attended a fourth round FA Cup tie against Swindon on 13 April 1911

-In a 1945 peace effort, following World War 2, we welcomed Dinamo Moscow to the Bridge, playing in front of a crowd of over a 100,000 fans.

-The elite "Busby Babes" gave us a guard of honour when we won the league title in 1954-55 season.

-Chelsea went to Paris in 1937 to compete in a pioneering international tournament , 18 years BEFORE the first European Cup

-We would have been the first EVER English club to participate in the European Championship (now called the UCL) if the FA had not forced us to withdraw from that competition.

-Won the European Cup Winner's Cup in 1970 after defeating the great Real Madrid side of that time

While I am at it, allow me to point out that while Chelsea FC was registering attendance records week in and week out, Arsenal went bankrupt in 1910 because the club did not produce enough matchday revenue over the seasons.

I also remember reading that Arsenal were only promoted to the first division in England after Henry Norris, a businessman who had moved them from South London to Highbury, bribed the Football League. Tottenham were relegated as a result of this. He was later banned from football for life for his corrupt business activities. After that, they were bankrolled by the Hill-Wood & Bracewell Smith dynasties, and established themselves as one of the top three most successful clubs in English football history.

Even Arsenal's recent' success 10 years ago would not have happened without Danny's millions. Tony Adams' quote- "I think that a significant factor, 90 per cent, in why we achieved so much is that Danny Fiszman (a rich Arsenal Director) invested 50m in the club and we were able to go to the next level. I got my first decent contract, so did David Seaman, we were able to bring in Dennis Bergkamp, (before Wenger arrived) plus David Platt, Patrick Vieira and Nicolas Anelka. We were able to pay them , the top players from around the world."

Ohhh and yes!!!! I think it is also worth mentioning that Chelsea won 5 trophies between the 1996-2000 period (when we were supposedly shit before Roman 😆) than Arsenal have won in the past decade.

This is just what I had at the back of my mind and posted here quickly b/c of shortage of time. It doesn't even include the individual player records and legends that we have had - I assure you I can write a LONG MS word document on my club's so-called non-existent history 😃

@GUNNER. - Whenever I mentioned Arsenal in my above post; I wasn't demeaning Arsenal or trying to bring them down (I don't hate Arsenal!), I was simply implying that not only are you coming across as ignorant about Chelsea's history but your club Arsenal's too. Arsenal also have very interesting background, I know because I bothered to do a detailed search on them a long time ago when I first started following football.

P.S. - Would be nicer if fans can take draws/losses on the chin instead of sounding butthurt and bringing up my team's history when they run out of other excuses. It's no use because you will find me coming up with FACTUAL posts like these and you will have no claims to back yourselves so please save yourself embarrassment.

Also, Jose is the manager and he is entitled to set up his team however he likes - If others can't break us down - that's their problem 😛 He's the Chelsea manager, why the EFF should he be helping other teams have an easy time against us? 😆 People also seem to forget that we were playing the most aesthetically pleasing football in Europe until Christmas, didn't see anybody saying we parked the bus then, hmm? 😉

For those with short memories-
