I thought we are in twenty first century, so why and who are they to ask for agnee preeksha?

And most of all how come no one asks Sumer for any agnee preeksha? didn he actually live with fake shagun as a husband?😡

agni pariksha is like u hav to go through an exam and in the case of Shagun...she has to prove herself to b pure bcoz she lived with another man (Veer).

i think in this serial they are showing the story of 18th century.in the beginning also when alak was widow they treated her so badly.and when shagun was widow they tried to cut her hair down.these things don't happen in today's world.
and now agnipariksha!!!!!
