Alak is sitting on the ground of her room and crying...thinking i have lost shagun...just then shagun comes it and alak looks at her askance....alak says that i thought i had lost you. Shagun replies that how can you even think such a thing...you are my mother...so what if you havent given birth to me, you are everything to me...you have taught me whatever i know, my upbringing, culture my very existence is because of you. if it werent for you, i wouldnt have even got this status in the bhardwaj family...or their love...so no can can ever break us apart....no storm can even weaken the foundations of our relationship let alone break it. Alak is overjoyed and both hug.
meanwhile at shagun's inlaws, MIL and SIL are in the kitchen and sil is cutting veggies...she tells mil that seems that these are a good days for my jethaniji...happiness after happiness seems to be coming in her life....looks like these are our bad days ... mil starts to respond but FIL enters saying i have fantastic news...mil pretends cheerfulness and eagerness to know the source of joy...fil says maganji is coming here soon...mil asks who is maganji...fil replies he was my father's guruji...a great priest...antaryami etc...and i want him to come here and give blessing to samar and shagun...finally our children are happy and i want guruji to bless them that they remain happy for as long...so you have to make arrangements for him that he is satisfied during his stay here .. and leaves. sil n mil look at each other and mil looks anxious and says that maganji is a very renowned priest and can read faces and know whats in a person's heart...what if he find out what is in my heart??? then she gives an evil smile.
Agni is sitting alone in the room of her house thinking when the bell rings...she says to herself that yes Shagun i know you would come...your real mother's mamta was definitely going to pull you here. she opens the door but it is alak ... agni asks her why has she come here...what more does she have to do in their lives? alak doesnt responds and enters into the house and goes straight to an open room but stops at the door when she sees inside...vasun is on a rocking chair playing with her doll...she is impervious to anyone else's voice...totally immersed in her playing...alak is shocked to see this...tears r in her eyes...agni suddenly comes, move alak away and shuts the door...then she tells alak not to cry crocodile tears...after messing with her sister's life she is pretending pity for her? alak says no, i am really sorry to see vasun in this state...agni mocks her...says that it is due to you that she is like this now...u took everything away from her...her status, her love, even shagun her child...she was deprived of the love of her daughter becoz of you...rants and raves away to glory...finally when she pauses for breath alak says, you finished speaking ... now let me tell what i have to say...just then shagun comes in and gives a tight slap to agni...saying that i know you are elder to me and i should not slap you but the way you spoke to my mother, i had no choice...you said such low things about her...how can you think such things...she is not my birth mother but she has brought me up...dont you knw...the mother you raises you has a higher status than the one who gave u birht...gives the example of devki ma and yashodha...she says that it is becoz of alak ma that i got my sanskar, this love from my family, this status...i would have faced the same rejection as vasun ma did if alak ma had not accepted me as her daughter. my mother is very important to me and i will be with her in everything...you cannot come like this and try to separate us...she takes alak's hand in hers and leaves. agni is left behind in anger.
alak is standing in the balcony with a photo frame of herself with Shagun and is staring at it fondly when shan comes and asks her whats wrong...she says nothing just thinking that times goes so fast...just now my shagun was so small and now she is already grown up and married and hey now she is going to be a mother too..shan is surprised to hear this and says hey when did you find out...our shagun will be a mother ...? thats great news...but why didnt you tell me earlier? you both mother/daughter share everything without telling me...i am going to complain to shagun about you...but first ill rush and get sweets and have the first sweet myself...he leaves and alak thinks..yeah i hid from you but what do you know that in these last few hours what shagun and i have gone thru but now thankfully this storm is over.
in the main hall ammaji is sitting and alak bends to take ashirwad...ammaji tells her not to bend for it in this state...ammaji then talks to alak bout some matter (missed the words) when iravati butts in and starts pouting like a child...ammaji derides her saying that you yourself are a MIL now and still acting like a kid? hearing that alak remembers and tells ammaji that there is a good news....your darling shagun is expecting a child.. ammaji is very happy and says wow i am going to become a parnani...iravati says yeah, since the entrance of the shaguni bahu in this house, good news have come one after another...the last time you came from teerth...you had got the good news of alak, and this time of shagun...looks like there is some attachment of my DIL with Alak and shagun of last birth, if no one else...alak looks uncomfortable with this comment...just then agni (in a lovely red sari) climbs down the stairs of the house and yes ... there is an attachment btwn us but it is of this birth only....so alak .. should i tell everyone what is the attachment???
