padma visa and aditi have explained most things. Yes it is the emotional qualities in any person the voice of the heart defines prakriti and voice of head or ego defines sanskriti or masculine. Every human has this irrespective of their gender.
Problem with society is that along with your physical gender it is expected that you will have only that quality or you are expected to have that quality. That's why society expects woman to give and men to take.
Unfortunately here lies the biggest myth. Women are also humans, they also have all the negative aspects and feelings a man will have. Only thing is that when you are a female gender, feminine aspects will be more in you, however if masculine tries to suppress it, the masculine in you will fight the suppression.
That's why Sita is not abla. She breaks Ravan emotionally even in captivity. Because the feminity of Sita will shine only with Rama, his love. She is bound only in his love. In his absence she is unbridled. Sanskriti or masculine cannot bind her, because she is aware of masculine within her.
Same with Panchali. A system expected Panchali to accept Yudhi's decision that she is a slave. She didnt accept. She questioned. She questioned as a queen, she questioned as an individual. When feminine in a man dies, and tries to take everything from female, the masculine in her will become active fighting the man. A man cannot fight such a woman because he doesnt know feminine or is not connected to feminine to fight with her.
The knowledge a man has on feminine is the difference between an ordinary man and Narayan. Narayan's Maya is nothing but his knowledge of feminine and how to manage feminine for the benefit of the whole world. It is the respect he shows to his mother. Rama bows in front of Kaikeyi, and Krishna even before birth if you watch ask Devaki the permission to be born as her son. The one who manages the entire world allows Yasodha to tie him, also slap him for his naughtiness.
In his heart resides his wife, his Lakshmi, making him Sreedhar. He is always respectful towards his wife and her contribution to the benefit of the world. And his power is his sister. Gowri. In Krishna avatar she comes along with him for his protection. In nutshell purusharth of knowledge, wealth and power stand behind Narayan giving him everything he needs and he acknowledges it. If you follow Narayan if you are a man he will teach you to respect feminine, if you are a woman, he will make you touch base with your femininity and help you to distinguish between a Ram and Ravan.
Because as Aditi said a parched Prakriti will end up destroying everything. She should not do it. Yes a Ravan has to be killed. But a Ram or Arjun can be given a second chance.
In nutshell for life to thrive we need both feminine and masculine. Unbridled freedom is destruction, too much order is also destruction. Both needs to be balanced. Within the order itself if changes can be accepted it will be much smoother life. Like we see in Ramayana. Ramayana is fighting within the system where only Ravan in minds of people is destroyed and Ram-Ravan war is also not very horrific.
But if that change is suppressed, after some time it will result in Mahabharath, large scale destruction and horrific murders like Abhi in Chakravyuha and Dussashan's death which is really barbaric though we dont feel pity for him.
Both epics happen in a family. So family itself can decide whether they want Ramayan or Mahabharath.
