A flower symbolises several things. offered at the feet it is admiration...offered in the hand it expresses love...here it is the offering of love total surrender to the one Sita deeply adores...the flower thus represents all that you have said and left unsaid Shruthi...A deeply symbolic moment.

@vidya flower is said to be the most beautiful expression of a plant and maybe that's why Siya Ram love is expressed using flowers.
There was also a gajra scene in vanvass, then Ram adorning Siya with Jasmine ornaments. Every time white flower was used showing the purity.

Absolutely ! Agree with your instances stated ! Did love those situations in the respective films . Had loved those films more for the depth of the understanding that was shown though not with melodramatic but simpler moments ! We do get such nice depictions that remain in our minds and bring smiles when we recollect these scenes and their effects !
Can't agree with you more on the point of how physical factors fail that lasting effect as mentioned by you !
In today's world the main thing that seems to be missing is the deep understanding with the a long sightedness in which it could be upheld !
World for fast food, instant mixes , short term results , short cuts and so on seem to be the order of the day in every aspect of life and that is a thing !

Classic scene that was.
Beautiful post this is.
And Rams banishing Sita is discussed endlessly and the essence of what it is being totally misinterpreted.
maryada purushottam in the battle of mind and heart. He didn't let one of the above win he balanced it out.
