As a normal human being, we need profit when we invest our time, energy and money in any matter. So my analysis is to highlight the salient features of the show SKR. I know, many will think that there is no need to learn from TV shows, but I feel there is no point in spending time without gaining knowledge. We should either get something new, different interpretation or refresh what we already know. Even though it is TV show, we came to know about the viewpoints of some different sets of people whom we hardly know. In this way, SKR is worth watching whether we agree with the storyline (they showed) fully or not. This is completely my POV (anyone can have any view).
Coming to the topic, the show is about the journey of Ramayan from Sita's perspective. First and foremost, it is a unique concept and a classic approach to discuss the known story. As far as any show is considered, the main protagonist will be shown with extraordinary skills and others are way below them. Even in spiritual shows if it is about Lord Siva, then even Lord Vishnu will ask all suggestions and always seek Siva's blessings and help to rescue from any danger. The same holds good in case of shows with Lord Narayan and Goddess Shakthi as leads. My whole point is none is less than the other and the same story can be interpreted in the way people look at it. But my only wish is the story should not be misinterpreted (This again depends on the view of individuals). Hence on a general view, no one should be sentimentally hurt by our analysis of spiritual concepts. This show fulfilled this important line which makes it worth investing time in watching and discussing the same in forum.👏
Some salient features as far as I noted/remembered from the show
1. The story of Shanta. Though some of us know about Shanta as Rishyasringa's wife, this character involvement in the show made many of us to look and dig about her character in Ramayan.(In a way, show made many of us to return to our Ramayan book again)
2. The childhood of Sita and her sisters. Mithila's Janak is praised as Rajarishi but the show very well characterized Raja Janak. His letter to Maharaj Dhasarth after Sita's swayamvar was simply remarkable. ⭐️
3. The transition mind set of Kaikeyi was something which I didn't come across before this show. After the discussion about the same in forum, I agreed what they showed can be highly possible. (Frame of reference differ w.r.t individuals😉).4. Sita's confidence in Ram while she was in Lanka. She was not shown as abla nari. In vaishnavism, we say saranagathi and atmasamarpan. Sita did atmasamarpan to Ram but fought against Ravan each passing day with her atmavishwas. (This made me to write).
This show portrayed the characters very nicely. I felt some of the Lanka events are far too stretched but on the whole, the connectivity seems to be good. Each event in epic is either the fruit of previous tree or the seed for the next one. On this aspect, I end this post with a satisfaction that my time was not wasted but was invested in right spot.
My appreciation to the cast and crew. 👏Actors did their job well, especially the amul baby (the actor Bharath⭐️, who astonished me with his brilliant performance which I didn't expect).(Acceptance of my wrong prediction😆)
Note 1: I know that all of us can't have the same opinion. I respect the different views of others. But if you want to highlight the flaws in the show, please proceed with a separate thread as I want the thread (if continued) to be in positive vibe.😊
Note 2: Please, no comparison with other shows. 😊
