Well, one of my earliest childhood memories comprise watching the old Ramayan telecasts with my grandma and it really mesmerised me, sucked me into this wonderful world of mythology. And my all time favourite character is Hanumanji.
Late Mr. Dara Singh was terrific as Hanumanji. He brought the character to life in such a wonderful way, portraying the childlike innocence and antiques and razor sharp intelligence. The 'Sunder Kaand' is my favourite chapter of Ramayana and it was showcased beautifully.
Trust me I adore Ashish-Madrakshi as Ram and Sita. But I am unable to connect with Hanuman of SKR. The joy and triuph I felt when Hanumanji defeated Raavan's over-confidence at Lanka, was all missing for me. Have I grown up or is the magic missing??
