Hello guys, here's my first analysis on this thread! Hope you like it!
The episode starts off with Sulochana trying to get outside of the maze, and she depends on Meghnad's instructions to lead the way. She sees the sun rising in the east, and tells her troupe that they need to exit the maze before sunrise, otherwise, they would be trapped. This scenario is repeated later on with the epic when Hanuman has to get the Sanjeevani Booti before sunrise, otherwise Lakshman would die. Why is does the sunrise factor appear so often? Because the Ramayan wants to teach us that time is valuable. It is always better to do something when you know that you have the energy and desire to do it because these two factors will push you towards completing the task. But, if you keep on putting off something you have to do, then it will be worthless, even if you do it later or not. If Sulochana was busy in chatting away with Sita or admiring the flowers, then even if she tried to escape from the maze later on, she would have been trapped. Money can be earned again, you can be cured of a disease, you can remember something again by reading it, but you can not regain lost time. Here's a very famous Doha of Kabir's that beautifully sums this up...
Kaal Kare So Aaj Kar, Aaj Kare So Ub
Pal Mein Pralaya Hoyegi, Bahuri Karoge Kub
Tomorrows work do today, today's work now
If the moment is lost, the work be done how
Also, I noticed that Sulochana was asked by Meghnad to follow the red tree to reach her destination. Why was it red and not green or orange? Because red symbolizes love, and the red tree lead Sulochana on the dangerous path to unite Sita with her love, but instead, she met her love, who became the obstacle in her path. This teaches us that you should never entirely depend on one person or resource(except God!). You should always ask various people and consult various sources about a fact, and then take action on it. Because who knows, that person might be playing a move, so that you can fall in trouble or that the article or book might be biased or false.
The theme of today's episode was betrayal. Megnadh betrayed Sulochana's trust and told his father everything, and Simhika will become Ravan's solider, and that too without killing Sita, betraying Surpanakha's trust. The main message of this episode is that you should keep well-wishers close, but you should keep enemies even closer. An example of this is Megnadh. He pretends to be helping Sulochana, but in reality, he is trying to figure out her plan, so he can tell his father. When you keep your enemies close, you get to know of all of their moves, and you will be able to counter-attack them in one precise and swift move. But, this does not mean that keeping your well-wishers close holds no value. When you keep them close, they are the ones who support yo and help you in every way possible. Just like Sita kept Trijata close to her, and got support and news from her, which helped boost her faith. So, do not build a wall around you and isolate yourself from the world, step out of your cage and behold the wonders of friendship and love, and the cruel reality of the world. This wil make you smarter and better, not vulnerable and weak.
