This is written from the real Seetaji's POV, but has no connections with either Valmiki's or Star Plus' Ramayan.
Thanks to Meghadi who hastened the execution of this idea with her request for a romantic SiRa piece. I hope to be able to fulfill your expectations, Meghadi!
P.S. I know I kept Lakshman out of this. That was intentional.

The warm light of dawn creams through the open window of the quaint cottage by the waters of Godavari. Chilly winds whizz past the trees encircling the clearing.
I retreat to my little garden in the backyard. The trees sans their usual gleaming pride still sway their dry branches to welcome my presence.
It is a strange day. A strange ecstasy has taken control of the swing of my heart,
Finding my steps over the gentle green
I have entered this wild;
The heart's lost iwis to the fragrant sheen,
Melt into the melody mild.
The greenery gives way to frost.
The birds are silent as if they watch the sun touch the trembling dewdrops. The milky clouds float past my horizon. The emerald leaves of the distant, russet woods are rimed with snow.

He has left for the day's work leaving me just a trail of a smile to seek ere good twilight. Oh when shall I lay my eyes once more on his tawny frame emerging from the woodland while the wind may send shivers across the viridian of the freezing lake?
The silence of my home cries out for peace,
Is it not time for him?
Has he ventured too far today, far enough to miss
The daylight that grows now dim?
The sun settles in his cot as his smile does fade. He submits to peaceful slumber stealing mine in his.
Oh the soft flakes of silky frost
That adorn His curls;
Indeed they shall be not lost
In the flood that unfurls.
O love, return. Return to the sweet haven where thy wife waits for thee.
