Hey Guys, I'm curry-sistah. This is a fun post for any fellow SKR, Laxman and Game of Throne fans.
So it Begins...
"Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come." The Night's Watch oath
So... While watching today's episode of Siya Ke Ram, there was a scene where Laxman was on the elevated Watch post, pacing and keeping a look out -making sure that no harm would come to his Bhaiya or Bhabhi. It totally reminded me of Game of Thrones and the members of the Nights Watch. Now that probably has something to do with the fact that season 6 began yesterday (woot woot ) and as a fan I have my GoT lens on, but come to think of it Laxman is sort of like a Brother of the Nights Watch...Bare with my banter lol-
Laxman is of House Ayodhya. He follows the motto of Kept Promises- Praan Jaaye par Vacchan Na Jaaye. He lives in Exile, not by his ousting but own free will to join The Watch. He lives a life in vanvaas with no jewels or crown. He is the watcher of Rakshas's and evil Mayaveer personas. He fights demons and wildlings (like Surpanakha) and others demons in the daunting forests of the land. And Lastly, He's pledged his life and honor to Ram & Sita and has taken an oath to always serve and protect them at his post, come day or night. He is Commander of the Nights Watch.
Thoughts?
Disclaimer- this is just a fun post for fellow GoT fans. It's not meant to disrespect SKR /Laxman, The Ramayan or any Bhagwan. I'm a bhakt too but a GoT lover as well. Yess yess, the Watch do have some other elements that are very different and perhaps more "out there" but this is just a fun post, so try not to throw chappals. Also its my first post here, please be kind. hehe
