TOI:TVs Ram, Ashish Sharma played Hanuman for many years

Aashish Sharma, who is currently playing Ram in the show 'Siya Ke Ram', is actually a big Hanuman bhakt.

Through his growing up years he was always offered the role of Hanuman. Ashish says, "I am from Jaipur where Ramlila is a common theatre act. Though I was a thin, lanky fellow, I was always offered the role of Hanuman. It was a dream to play Ram, but somehow I was chosen to play Hanuman. Since then I have been a Hanuman bhakt for many years." The actor, who was slated to go to Jaipur for the big pooja on occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, preponed his trip as shooting schedules did not permit him to travel.
