@DD concentrate on exams. That's most important. But I would suggest not to suppress your urge to come to IF. It would be much better if you regulate it than cut it off completely. I would say balancing it out.

@Shivam thanks for bringing mind power. I forgot to mention in my analysis what Jatayu says about Ravan. He is a master in playing mind games.

Unfortunately Janaki didn't understand the mind game her father played in the Swayamvar Sabha. " Lift the Dhanush and prove your Bhakti". What a powerful comment it was from Raja Janak. And Sita irrespective of having seen Ravan falls for his mind game, when he tricks her to cross the protection line of Lakshman.

Janaki tells Lakshman we should not consider our enemies powerless. And still she becomes the victim of that Maya that mind game.

Reason Janaki knew all theory, but when it came to application she faltered.

But Janaki, again, did it only to protect her husband's kul. She knows that in his life, the most important thing to Ram is his kul. To protect Raghuvansh ke maryada, and her husband's honour, Sita Ma steps out of the Lakshman Rekha.

They were innocent, but yes. Her Maya understanding was lost.
That's why Prakriti goes hand-in-hand with Maya. Maya, by it's basic nature, goes against Prakriti. Maya can even hide Prakriti. For Sita Ma, who is Prakriti Herself, Maya should have been a part of her understanding. She didn't take the knowledge of the Asuras and Maya that Lakshman offered her. Hence, she lost to Maya. In the battle of Prakriti vs Maya, Prakriti lost.

In MB, Krishna guides everyone, such that Maya is forgotten, and Prakriti wins. His control over Maya brought about the winning of Prakriti. The Pandavas followed His will, and understood Prakriti. Maya didn't work on them, due to His guidance.
For His wives, it was but natural for them to understand Prakriti. Though only Rukmini and Bhama knew who they were, and the others lived under the influence of Yoga Maya.
