You know I have read so many versions of Ramayana , and the most extreme portryal of Lakshman I have read so far in this scene is where Ram decided to take him along because he was so angry that Ram feared he would kill bharat on his return , but never has any version mentioned that he ill treated women , especially his own wife , the way he did today.
