Saanjh sauna rahe Rajyatilak ka Dussharat hai Pran kina
Raat bhare mai kaun kumati bhaye hot bhor ban Dina.

Translation - Evening (saanjh) I heard that Dussharat has decided (pran) for the coronation. What evil thought (kumati) crossed overnight that banishment (ban) was given right in the morning (bhor)

Here in the show they have exaggerated the whole Rajyatilak Tilak Vidhi but in Ramacharitramanas everything took place in night. There is a beautiful contrast, in the evening Ram goes to Sita and tells her about his coronation. He tells her that they have to fast and sleep on floor. Few hours later he again goes to her, this time to tell that he is banished from the Kingdom.

What I liked most about this track is that how fast things can change. I know Ram's vanvaas was for greater good and he came to earth for specific reasons. However we still can't deny that things changed in his life in matter of few hours. A would be King in one moment, an ascetic in another. It is moments like these that make me feel how we can't be ever sure of anything in life. Our fate can change any day, any moment and we human beings watch in awe as that happens. Such moments makes us realise how small we are and how little control we have in few of the most important things in our lives. It also makes us realise that there is a greater power that control things in its own mysterious ways. Here Dussharat was all set to hand over his throne to his son and call it his Sanchit Karmo ka fal (Killing of Sharvan Kumar and the promises he gave to Kayeki) that he had to send the same son for fourteen long years of exile. He probably died thinking whether or not Ram will even survive fourteen years in forest.

True Sumedha. We never know what life has in store for us. We think we have control of our life because things are happening the way we want. One change and our life is full of chaos. We fail to realize that a grand plan is already in place for us from the moment we are born. We are happy as long as things are going your way.
Like the verse said, in the evening coronation was announced and by morning Ram was banished.

What we need to learn here is how well Ram was able to accept this life changing event. Whereas Dasarath gave up his life unable to bear it. Being unattached to the money, power, family etcc is the key here.

"We" think we call the shots. But everything goes according to "his" plan only.

Well written 👏
Kaikeyi and Dasharath had these grand plans..they failed to realize that man can only propose.. it is He who disposes.

Every one of their carefully laid plans are going to go awry.

@sumedha I agree to you. Yes a night changes everything. Greatness of Ram and Sita was that they accepted the change. Lakshman adapted to the change. But Dasrath could neither accept nor adapt to the change and he died of broken heart.
We can see many such points in MB. In one second Shakuni had the bloodless coup in his hand with all Pandavas as his slaves and next instant Panchali turns the table
Similarly one instant Pandavas had the 13 year of exile successfully including living one year without letting their identity known and just before night fell or in the twilight zone Arjuna is forced to lift the gandheeva just revealing their identity and then war
On 14th day 1 instant Arjun was moving toward the pyre, next instant Pasupathastra was flying with Jayadrath's head
On one instant Gandhari was about to give immortality to Dury and next instant Krishna's creates vulnerability in his thighs.
Invincibility, immortality all is our ego's creation and in the larger scheme of things we will know where we stand. If we cannot accept the change, if we cannot take ups and downs in your life same way we will suffer only

Your mentioning Mahabharat reminded me of one of the promos where Krishna said jo ismai Nahi wo sansaar mai kahi nahi. 😊

that's LIFE- uncertain..
all the happenings in Ramayan can be uderstood by ASAKTI- attachment..

Kakayi's asakti to Bharat and Ayodhya's throne led to Ram's exile

Dashrath's asakti towards his son Ram led to his suffering and death

Sia's asakti to Golden Deer led to her kidnap

Ravan's asakti to power led to his death.
