Actually this is based on yesterday's episode. This dialogue had really made me thinking since yesterday because with Shabdabedi baan Dasrath incurred the curse. It had me in a thought process why that line was used. Finally I reached a symbolism of that sentence and felt that it need to be discussed. Hence making another post. I like the loop closing.dasrath mistake using that ban led to curse.in a way yesterday for me that skill of dasrath stood as the symbolism of what he was.without seeing analysing based on hearsay tradition he took decision.he assumed things.he didn't knew to differentiate voices. He choose the voice that suited his ego and inline with his beliefs. And he used words which are equivalent to baans that inadvertently hurt many. And finally more than Sharavn Kumar's father's curse the words he used and actions he took without thinking resulted in his downfall.
So understand that be careful when you use words. Keep your thoughts clean so that the words you use will also be good. Else you will never know which word hurt whom. You may not have intended the hurt, but any improper use of word can bring much harm. Not every person will be silent. Some will strike back. Strike back at a time you least expect it.

Dont do anything by hearsay. Traditions are fine. But humanity is above that. For preserving traditions if you lose humanity, then you will pay the price.

Just like without understanding voices Dasrath used Shabdabedi baan, without understanding another's emotions if you use words, that words will come to haunt you.

@DD another cryptic thing I got finally from mythology. Just like the weapon Shakti in Karna's hands, the shabdabedi baan of Dasrath also is cryptic very much related to our life.
Once again I bow to the wisdom of valmiki and vyaasa for putting such cryptic things hidden in these great works so that only if you bow in front of Saraswati you will reach them.
I am sure there are more cryptic things in these books. Yet to discover, yet to be connected.

I didn't hear this dialogue the first day. No wonder since I was in a drooling mode. Heard this in yesterdays episode.
Shabdabedi baan is considered very powerful because the victim is totally at the mercy of the one wielding the weapon(no advantage of seeing the hunter). The one who deploys it should be more careful than usual before he releases it. You connected this with words 👏
I was reminded of the post by Savitha in DD's thread where she quoted Swami Vivekananda.
" We are what our thoughts have made us: so take care about what you think, words are secondary .Thoughts live; they travel far ".

@Geena think before you speak. Look at the situation. Understand what others is feeling. Be empathetic. You will save a lot of heartburn. And that dialogue of Manthara kept on echoing in me till I could connect something logically to it. Because it was very very powerful dialogue from her.
And if you look it is using Dasrath that finally Manthara succeeds in manipulating Kaikeyi. Dasrath's words and actions.
Because Manthara couldn't get through Kaikeyi using Ram or Kausalya.

Sruti mein apki sari post ki fan hon hon.Esp karm arth dharm n moksh..
And of this I would like to add my thought..Dhanush se nikli hui theer ko bhi waps le sakte lekin juban se nikli hui theer ko kabhi nahi..
U can never get back the words which u have uttered n it travels faster than the arrow n remains in heart forever..
Ban se hui chot ko marham karwa sakte lekin shabdhon se hui chot ko nahi..Zindgi bar chubta rahega
Dhasrath is a total head-weighted king ..He is proud of his achievements an wealth...And the words he speak are just a reflection of self-pride..He mistook shravan as an elephant n deployed the arrow..Being a king he should not jump into conclusions so easily..And the curse of the boy's parents was just to destroy his pride n show him his mistake
