Brilliant post.
Up till few years even I saw Sita as a weak, docile women who was a victim of circumstances. It was during a conversation with my Uncle I realized I was wrong and since then I started seeing things in different light.
She could lift the divine bow with one hand, the same bow which even the most powerful kings couldn't even shift.
She did what she wanted to do, accompanying Ram for Vanvaas was not an easy feat, it needed courage and strong will power.
She was intelligent, when Raavan abducted her she threw her jewelry to help Ram track her. Now that was a wonderful example of presence of mind. How many of us can think so clearly in such circumstances ?
Ravan was scared of her else he would have used force on her like he did on hundreds of women and apsaras.
She was not gullible, only once she made sure that Hanuman was sent by Ram she gave her hair ornament to him. In the extreme circumstances she was in many of us would lose our common sense but she didn't.
She brought up her sons all by herself and brought up them well. They were so strong that whole army of Ram couldn't defeat the two boys.

These are just few incidents that show her courage, intelligence and power.
