@peepli yes in my community this song is not sung for marriage because of the separation that happened in Ram-Siya marriage but nevertheless that doesn't take away the beauty of the song. And yes in Shaiva tradition this song is sung as Gowri Kalyana Vaibhogame

I don't think, they would include the keerthana in the show ( though I would be delighted, if they do so ), becoz its is not even a dialect of Hindi...😔

They would ( many probabilities ) in the regional dubbed versions, particularly Telugu 😃

***** In Telugu weddings, the keerthana is mostly performed on a sannayi ( a slightly different version ( south Indian version ) of shahnayi ) at the wedding time ...it gives such a melodious and divine feel to the entire proceedings ⭐️

it would be nice if they use some krithis Atleast in telugu but
they are dubbing the original sound tracks into telugu

Marriage rituals are happening right Ramya. What better time than this to discuss culture and tradition. Actually many rituals of marriage is the upholding of culture and tradition right.

That' s SOOO SAD !

We have such beautiful, rich kritis / keerthana's in regional languages...alternately we have such great lyricists and composers who would do justice in creating new ones ! Why go for dubbing even for the background songs !

It's never sung in our marriage rituals too , but i have watched wedding videos where during the actual wedding ritual this song is made the background score by whoever does the video editing..and I have heard elderly people say it should not be used as ,though, Ram n Sita were perfect people, their marriage suffered a lot... I have even seen instances when people have been known to say that all misfortunes in my life happened because there is Ram in my name, I found that absurd...plus rarely are girls named Sita, and if they are, they are named as Sita Mahalakshmi to ward off any ill effects of the name..

What a beautiful composition n a masterpiece by Thyagarja...The song has a mesmerising effect..Its very close to my heart.And the way the legend penned it down..I am carried away each time I listen to the song n the voice of MS⭐️The video editors make it mandate to add it as a BG score
