Hello everyone,
Encouraged by comments on my first SKR OS I am here with another one. Yesterday we saw Sunayna planning to invite Ram for lunch/dinner in the palace. This scene is written in reference with the same. Comments and suggestions welcome. 😊
OS - The first cena (dinner)
Everyone was present in the dining hall; they just finished the dinner and were having sweet dish. Ram and Sita were stealing glances as often as they could. "Maharaj, Rishi Yagyaval padhare hai, vivaah ke vishay main kuch vartalaap kerne hetu," said a messenger.
Janak looked at Sunayna, his brother and Rishi Vishwamitra. "Hum sab abhi aate hai," He replied. Elders of the royal family along with Rishi Vishwamitra left the hall almost immediately. The three sisters caught Ram and Sita in an eye lock and decided to leave them alone.
"Rajkumar Laxman hum logo ko bhi chalna chahiye," Urmila said.
"Parantu hum waha bado ke beech main kya kerenge."
"Maine kaha na hume chalna chahiye," she said indicating to Ram and Sita.
"Haan avashya, humari koi aavashakta pad sakti hai," he replied taking the hint. The four left the hall leaving Ram and Sita alone.
The two were so lost in each other that they were absolutely oblivious to their surroundings. Ram was the first one to notice that they were all alone in the hall. "Ye sara bhojan aapne swayam banaya ?" he asked.
"Jee, maa aur chotti maa ki sahayata se."
"Per aapne itni takleef kyun ki." By now Ram got up from his place and was heading towards Sita.
"Iss mai takleef kaisi ye toh mera saubhagya hai. Waise bhi mujhay bhojan banana pasand hai."
"Aur mujhay aapke haath ka bana bhojan pasand hai." Sita smiled shyly. "Mere saath aaiye."
"Per kaha."
"Aaiye toh." Ram made her sit and picked a plate and started serving food.
"Yuvraj ye aap kya ker rahe hai."
"Aapko bhojan kera raha hun."
"Parantu aap ye... iski koi avashakta nahi hai," she felt embarrassed. Crowned prince of Ayodhya serving her dinner was something she never imagined in her wildest dream.
"Yadi aapko mujhy bhojan karaane ka sukh praapt kerne ka adhikaar hai toh mujyhy bhi ye sukh praapt kerne ka adhikaar hona chahiye," he said keeping the plate in front of her. Sita's eyes gleamed with tears of happiness. She was falling deeper and deeper in love with her would be husband, with his simplicity and elegance. "Bhojan grahan kariye Sita." Sita took the first bite, food never tasted any better.
