That was an interesting post dear, Thanks for sharing!
The jain Ramayan says differently while some versions say that, Sita and Ram were siblings. And there was a tradition to get siblings married in those days to preserve the blood line.
As a person who have read the original Valmiki Ramayan,( By original I mean the Sanskrit version as written by sage Valmiki) I can only say this much that, Buddhism, Jainism and all 'isms came much later and they had come to serve a special purpose to shape the society according to the changing norms.
The story of Rama- is the saga of manifestation of dharma to change as relevant to the Yuga. What we call Yuga Dharma as Rama would set the parameters of common behaviour, setting the standards for a good son, brother, husband, friend, master and a father, student and a ruler.
It is sad that Hindu mythology is ruled by outside versions and people tend to comment and relate more to other versions than the original.
This is something akin to listening to remix than the Original Sound Track.
However the objective is defeated when none of us go by the actual path proclaimed.
There is more to just offering Urmila or the brothers getting married to all the sisters. don't want to bore you all.
Thank you so much for this post. Heartening to see some good post after a long time. I stopped writing posts and this post inspired me to write, Thanks dear
