hey i am from darbhanga bihar which was in ancient time part of mithila rajya and people here still speak maithili. what i really like in this show that ph is using certain things which actually represent culture of this place.like rani sunaina and janak usually wear clthes which have madhubani painting on it and they are light silk not heavy one like people of ayodhya wear . these colthes seems to made of bhagalpuri silk .second earlier they used play a tune in background whenever they used to show mithila that tune is actually very common in songs of sharda sinha ,a very famous padma shri awardee singer from bihar the fact which actually compelled me to make this post is in yesterday episode sita while day dreaming was singing a song in maithili language it was quite nice to hear.even my mother was really impressed.
good research by the team of SKR 👏👏👏

Wow! good piece of information
I always felt that Mithila clothing is kept simple for some reason
I even thought as Sita's birth pace is considered to be around Nepal
CV's are adapting that dressing style
But since I don't know about the clothing style there
I didn't mention it in the forum

But great to know such details
Thank u for the post
Good research by the team indeed😃

Janakpur is actually quite near to Darbhanga. WE CAN REACH THERE IN 1-2 HRS depending on route in ancient time actually mithila rajya was from Nepal till beguasarai which is near patna (capital city of Bihar).

Thanks for the information about the song in Maithili language.
Actually, I could not understand the song and felt it misfit in the episode, thought they could have used some music instead of the song.

true they have done lot of research which was quite impressive . best part is they are showing some real cuture of bihar on which we are quite proud of. although ram -sita is quite big part of hinduism but for us maithil people sita-ram big part of our folk culture ,folk song no ceremony either marriage , or any other ceremony does not complete without their mention.so thank you so much PH for potraying our culutre in symbolic way.

actually song is all about emotion that you feel when you fall in love.by this song they actually wants to say sita has fallen in love which is somewhat true to one of the story of ramayana. according to story that i know when ram and laxman comes to mithila with sage vishwamitra ,they stay in cottage meant for guest. before marriage as part of wedding ritual sita alongwith her friends go to garden to pluck flowers for gauri puja at that time sita and ram happens to see each other for the first time n at that instance only she accept him as her husband .i think serial people have taken creative liberty or may be they will show that as when ram n sita first saw each other face to face first time 😆😆😆 . there is a very beautiful song by sharda sinha ji based on ramanand sagar 's ramayana for this scene but it is in maithili language .
the translation of yesterday song is ,i dont why i am feeling like this, what kind of this affection i have for him .i am unable to understand what should i do, his image is imprited in my eyes in such a way . his desire is in my mind , soul , body so much ,i am unable to understand why i am feeling so restless, i dont where i have lost all my senses , i dont know what kind emotion i am feeling for him , i am unable to understand what to do ...this is somewhat literal translation i have tried for the first time from maithili to english 😉😉. i hope i made sense 😛
