SITA RAMA KALYANAM PART 2 updated

There at Maharaj Padmaksha's place swayamvar begins. Ravan reaches the venue uninvited. Maharaj Padmaksha does not allow him to attend the swayamvar of Lakshmi and tells him that only Lord Vishnu can marry her. Ravanasura provokes kings at swayamvar against Padmaksha as he has invited all the kings just for name sake to insult them. Ravana and all the kings decide to fight a war against Padmaksha Maharaj. Ravana kills Padmaksha Maharaj in front of Lakshmi and tries to elope with her secretly. Lakshmi prays Lord Vishnu and disappears from there. Ravan takes a pledge he will search for Lakshmi and marry her by hook or crook. Lakshmi reaches a ashram where Vedas chanting is going on. She asks sages to help her. They give her a name Vedavati and ask her to do penance on himalayan mountains and please god so that her wish will be fulfilled. Vedavati start her penance on himalayan mountains.

Ravana searched a lot for Vedavati and could not find her. He feels insulted. Ravan locks himself in a room and is not willing to come out as he is feeling inferior of his defeat. Even Mandodari his wife is worried of what happened to him. She seeks help of Narad Maharshi. He promises her that he will calm him down. Ravan allows Narad Maharshi and vents out his anger on Lord Vishnu for saving Lakshmi and hiding her in safer place. Ravan asks Narad that how can he confront Lord Vishnu and bring him down to earth and kill him. Narada Maharshi suggests Ravanasura to torture brahmins, ladies, children and all the animals. Lord Vishnu cannot tolerate that and will come down to earth to defeat him. Ravan obeys Narad maharshi's order and starts torturing common and innocent people. This way Ravana is inviting his own death himself. Narada maharshi is successful in fooling Ravanasura.

Ravanasura sets off in his pushpaka viman and travelled many places torturing people and creating disaster. At last he reaches Himalayas where he see Lakshmi (Vedavati) doing her penance. He approaches her and touch her hair. Vedavati curses Ravanasura that she will be born in his dynasty in his home and will be the cause for his death. Vedavati sets fire and burns into ashes.

Ravanasura collects the ashes of Vedavati and pledges that with his all power he will give new life to Vedavati and make her the queen of Lanka Nagari marrying her. He brings the casket to Lanka. Mandodari questions him of what is there in casket. He replies Vibhuti. She opens the casket to find a newly born baby girl. Ravana too is not aware when the ashes turned into a baby without using any of his powers. Raj purohits tell Ravana it is not a good sign for him that ashes of a person turn into a baby. She will destroy him. So all purohits suggest him to immediately throw the casket into sea. Mandodari objects their decision and ask the soldiers to take the casket far away from Lanka nagar and burry the casket in earth. She will die of suffocation and will never come out.

Thus the baby in the casket along with the casket is buried in Mithila. She awaits in earth's protection untill her love Sri Ram is born. Sita's journey is about to begin.
