A remarkable story is being retold

That seems as new as it is old

Of a man extraordinaire

Who was born with wisdom and love that is rare

Today lets go and take a peep

At the young princes who couldn't sleep

The richness and luxury of their palaces

Couldn't compete with the luxurious expanse of open spaces

Their Royal clothes did not measure

To The soft and loving lap of nature

The gurgling streams, singing a lullaby

And the musical chirps to wake up by

What is life Bereft of these wonderful joys

Wondered the young boys

And more solemn than his siblings

Uneasy lay the one who would be King

For his heart was filled with love, and his soul with purity

He struggled with knowing what is the meaning of royalty

for he had a gift or was it a curse?

He saw, beyond the clamour and beyond the noise

The wrinkled face searching for a voice

He heard the unspoken

He saw the unseen

His heart ached with their pain

And his eyes filled with their tears

Was a kings duty to stand apart at arms' length

Or to follow his heart'd be his biggest strength

Was he to pay heed to the words of the mighty and strong

To the heir to the throne, it seems all wrong

For in his infinite wisdom, that he learned from the sages

The wisdom that had been passed down through ages

To heal and help, to touch and reach out, to love and care

To rejoice in others joys and to allay their fears

That was the kind of man Rama was

And that was the king he wanted to be ...

Sorry dears, but I loved loved loved the episode so so much,

This is what Rama means to me, what we saw last night is what my vision of Him is

So this post is full of Bhakti bhava, I wanted to write in Hindi,

That is language I am most comfortable in

But kya karain Hindi font is not supported here!

One interesting point - Sita's fascination for the golden dear seems to be a childhood unfulfilled desire !

And how tragically it remain unulfilled!

Thanks Arshi for the post in your inimitable style.
Ram's character and the actor have been quite impressive so far. This is the Ram we have known and read about, who is kind, caring, simple, gentle and respectful and concerned about everyone be it his parents, the lady at the sabha, rishi Jabali etc..

Equally well portrayed is Sita. The times I felt the character over done was when she questioned Gautam muni as to why he cursed Ahilya. For a young girl it felt wrong and also watching the Raja sabha proceedings and enquiring about Sena etc..

Good episode today. Sita lightening up the mood for the little sisters, Ram making his brothers comfortable and in tune with nature wherever they were, and Yes the Golden Deer setting being done.

Since its Siya Ke Ram i think the women will be given more importance. The inner thoughts of not only Sita but other women too will be dealt more in depth i feel. Kaushalya's crying over Shantha and Shantha's story coming out, Gargi's intellectual discussion/argument with Yagnavalkya, and surely Ahilya's story will be shown too and if the old lady in today's episode is significant then that too. Some may be true and some creative liberty. Its okay as long as it doesn't distort the story.

I didn't quite like Kaushalya with that doll on the bed. I have seen several cases of children being given for adoption due to various reasons. Those mothers move on fine. There could be other ways to bring out Shantha's story.

Tank you Aparna. Yes, the episode seems to have come back on track. Ram and Sita both delighting and impressing us with their innate goodness.

It will be interesting to see it from the women's standpoint, because that's where the story needs to be retold from.

Lots to looks forward to in this story that has been retold countless times, yet has so much to offer still.

Very well written post from you, you should pour your thoughts more often!

@Arshi,
Your lines are just marvellous ⭐️
Was so delighted, had goosebumps going through them 😳

Creatives are doing a commendable job, portraying Rama.

As I said in Shruthi's thread, feel Sat' day's are indeed dedicated to most beautiful episodes 😃

If last week, it was Gyan sabha and Sita, y/day it was Rajya / Praja sabha and Rama !

So so wish , they keep this beautiful feeling we experience in watching such episodes, till the very end.

---------

Yes, Sita and her fascination for the golden deer...quite ironical

Do not know, if it was indeed true, , but It definitely added a nice little touch wrt an emotional perspective of us audience. A creative liberty well taken.

Lovely post with the help of a beautiful poem. The episode belonged to Ram. The CVs are doing a great job in portraying Ram. Hope to see this interesting and don't make this show a fiction.

What a beautiful post!!!! You described yesterday's episode so beautifully. An awesome episode to end the week. The whole episode was dedicated to Ram.
So the precap too suggests that we are heading towards the mystery of Ram's sister Shanta.
