Hi,
I am a new member. Joined because of this show and the interesting spiritual discussion that takes place in this forum. I love mythology and so I started watching this show when it started.

I have watched the original Ramayan by Ramanand Sagar and Mahabharata by B R Chopra.

I don't watch Indian tv, but I believe somehow my guiding Angels direct me towards stuff that would spiritually enhance me. And sure enough I came to know about this show from a Facebook post of a dress designer on this show and so I waited to see what's different. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much work the makers have put in going in the details about each and every character and events. So I go hooked. I keep telling everyone and anyone to go watch this show to understand the real meaning of what Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi came for in Ramayan.

Anyways I would love to be a part of the discussions here. I am in awe of some of the members and their beautiful insights on the various happenings in the show. I am here to learn and be a part of this wonderful forum.

I posted two topics earlier today and then realized I never introduced myself. So here.
Hope to know all you wonderful people more and enjoy the show and your point of views.

Thanks
Raima

What is your name (or what can we all call you)?
Shivani

Will SKR be your first mythological show or have your watched others before?
I have watched NDTV imagine Ramayan and star Mahabharat.

How much do you know of Ramayan going into this show?
Even though i watched ramayan on NDTV, i was too young to understand everything. I know the basic story but not enough to discuss. Most of the things i know about ramayan has been told and explained by my parents because of my curiosity. It was after my bharatanatyam teacher told me about ramayan that i felt like research here and there. 😆

What is one thing about Ram and/or Sita that you want to see in this show?
The reason i watch this show is mostly to know Sitas view.😊

What do you wish to see from Ashish and Madirakshi so they do full justice to their characters as Ram and Sita?
i have seen ashish earlier show and knew he will do justice to the character Ram. Mdirakshi is surprisingly doing very well as Sita too. Im happy as long as they portray the characters genuinely as it is.

What are some of your favorite mythological shows that you've seen in the past?
Star mahabharat

Last but not least, what do you want to see in this show, that has not been covered in any other adaptation of Ramayan before?
I watch it to know more about ramayan and mostly to see sitas viewpoint. i just dont want them to disappoint me by do changes here and there to satisfy the trp people 😆

Hello guys, I am Trina or you can also call me Triny.

I am a great fan of this show.Actually I love mythological shows and I am liking this show especially since we are getting to a show from Sita's POV which is very good.

The actors playing the roles are also very good and Ashish and Madirakshi are doing their parts very well.Hope to see them doing full justice to this show and not dissappoint us with some unnecessary drama.

I am also a huge fan of LakshMila.I wish that they show some of their scenes as well.

What is your name?
Well my name is Ananya.
Is SKR my first mythological show?
No, I am a mytho junkie. In recent years I have tried to watch almost all mythologocal shows which are on TV. There are only two three which I have watched till the last episode like DKDM and Mahabharat and of course Ramanand Sagar's Shree Krishna.
How much do I know of Ramayan?
As I said I am a big time mytho junkie so I have read many adaptations of Ramayan. And I hail from a place where both Tulsidas and Valmiki wrote their respective versions so I am familiar with both.
Which is the one thing I want to see in Ram and Sita in this show?
I think the whole purpose of Lord Vishnu's seventh avatar was to set an example as to how humans can lead an ideal life along with all their faults. So I definitely want a more human perspective towards both Ram and Sita and a little less of all that divinity thing.
What do I wish to see from Ashish and Madirakshi?
Well I don't really know. You see while watching a show about characters whom you have grown up with you have a set stereotype in your mind about how that character should be and shouldn't be. So while an actor has to somehow stick to these stereotypes he should also be natural. I think what Mohit Raina did as Mahadev and Saurabh Raj Jain did as Shree Krishna are great examples.
Which mythological shows I have watched in the past??
I have listed them in a previous answer. Amongst them my favourite was DKDM because of its wonderful actors and metaphysical approach to Hinduism in general.
What do I want to see in this show that has not been covered in previous Ramayan based shows?
The one thing that irritates me about most Ramayan based shows is the black and white approach they have. Ravan was definitely an antagonist but he was a lot many other things too apart from that. So I more grey shaded Ravan would be wonderful and certainly more realistic

PS: I know I am answering these questions a little late but I am new to this forum and I thought this would be the best way to introduce myself.
