Update for Week 1: Episodes 1-4

Episode 1:

We are introduced to the family. There is the mother and father (Mrs and Mr Raizada) and they have two sons and one daughter. The eldest son Antariksh is handicapped. His left arm and leg do not move normally. The second son is Dhruv, who loves his brother and mother a lot. He longs for his mother's love and will do anything to keep her happy. The sister is close to Dhruv and knows about his girlfriend, (I think the girlfriend's name was Megha). They also have an uncle and auntie (the mother's brother and his wife). The day is Antariksh's birthday so they are having a party.

Some woman has a proposal for Mrs R's second son Dhruv, but Mrs R says she will only get Dhruv married after Antariksh. Later, A accidentally trips the woman's daughter while dancing. That woman insults A that why is he dancing when he cannot even walk. Mrs R is angry and promises that she will get the world's most beautiful woman as a bride for her son.

Episode 2:

The mother is busy finding brides for A. She rejects brides who have a handicap. The matchmaker then suggest this girl who has come from abroad, so they arrange a meeting with her. At the meeting, the girl's friend Niharika is also there, together with that girl's parents. When they find out about A's handicap, they get angry as they were not told about it. Mrs R says she had told everything to the matchmaker. They start insulting A and that is when N tries to stop them, but they leave anyway. Before leaving, N says sorry to Mrs R and family, and says that "I dont find anything wrong with your son'. Mrs R is happy.

Later, Dhruv finds out that A has liked that girl N. So he tells his mother and Mrs R goes to N's house with a marriage proposal. N's mother is happy at first because she thinks the proposal is for N to get married to D. But when she finds out is for A, she says sorry. But N is listening to all this and says she is agreeable to this marriage. Mrs R is very happy. But N says she has a condition, and that is that her younger son D must get married to her sister Vedika, because they both want to get married into the same house. All this while N's mother is looking at her strangely and trying to stop her but N is stubborn. Mrs R accepts the condition.

Episode 3:

At Mrs R's house, Dhruv and his sister are discussing that he will tell his mother about his girlfriend Megha today as she will be in a good mood. Just then Mrs R comes back home and announces that she has fixed the marriage of both her sons. Dhruv is shocked but he says he is happy because he wants to see his mother happy. His sister looks at him but he stops her from saying anything. His girlfriend Megha overhears everything.

We are told what incident it was that made A handicapped and why D's mother is angry with him. When A and D were young, they were flying kites and the kite got stuck in a tree. A climbed over the balcony to retrieve the kite and D accidently touched A causing him to have a fall. The mother saw all this and that is why she has never forgiven D till now.

Back at Niharika's house, her mom is angry with her for putting such a condition when she knows about her sister's condition. She gets N to go to Mrs R's house and tell her the truth. N goes to Mrs R's house but Mrs R keeps interrupting and N cant say anything. Finally N decides not to reveal the truth.

Episode 4:

Dhruv and Megha meet and they are all sad. Megha says she will live with D's memories. Dhruv is sorry but he says that is the only way he can win back his mother's love.

Before the engagement, A call N to meet at a cafe. He asks her if she is sure she wants to get married to him and can live with a handicapped person for the rest of her life or whether she will regret it. N says she does not think A is handicapped.

At the engagement, Mrs R is proud to show off her two beautiful brides for her two sons. While doing the rituals, N and her mom are worried. When the sindoor (red powder) is put on Vedika's forehead, she gets hyper. She begins shouting 'Save him, he will die' and goes to everyone in the room and shouts the same thing. Everyone at the party is shocked. She finally collapses. The woman who is Mrs R's enemy says 'See, Mrs R has brought a mad bride for her son'.
