Mishti is and will always be better than Kunal because she didn't cheat. She openly talked to Veer & broke it off

But other than that she is doing everything Kunal did - getting lost in Ruhaan's thought, being oblivious to what's happening for her one honest mistake & roaming around and romancing.

The writer has very conveniently reversed the gender & chose an actor who can't evoke emotion like Aditi did.

Have read post like for Veer she is a part of his world but Ruhaan treats her like a princess & how adorable that is. 🤮🤮🤮

Mind it Nandu did the same thing. She worshipped Kunal while Mauli, even after loving Kunal, had her own identity. At that time, Kunal was termed as chauvanist & Nandu as a vibrator and what not. But now simply by reversing the gender they have solved it all.

Such hypocrisy!!! 🤮🤮🤮

The characters were never the writer's headache. All he had to do was to prove Sab Ke Sab Jaye Bhad Mein, Mujhe Baas Hug Aur Kiss Karna Hain & gain audience's support.

So far they have done that brilliantly. 👏👏👏

I still don't understand the story here, Mishti and Ruhaan spoke about how difficult their love story is when all they do is kiss-kiss and hug-hug. Ruhaan and Mishti practically said every dialogue of Kunal about Manzil and Mushkil rasta, why didn't I meet you before Veer?

Mishti, even said that she thought KuNan was love when she saw them together, this is the level of bad writing, Mishti didn't even recognize Kunal, even Ishaan didn't but she saw him with Nandini. Ridiculous.

Mauli couldn't leave her work for Kunal and Veer couldn't leave his work for Mishti, Veer was called inconsiderate. Nandini made Kunal her world, there was nothing beyond Kunal for her, that's what Ruhaan is doing. Is it gender bias? I don't think so because I read somewhere that it's refreshing to see a character like Ruhaan who leaves everything for his love, otherwise only women do this for men, when Kunal left his family for Nandini, he protected her from everyone, he took the whole blame of EMA... Definitely not gender bias

She was saying that only guy she was close with was Veer and she has choosen to be committed to him so she is staying with him in a commitment and thinking it was love . She is saying to Veer that she was thinking what they both had was love but when she finally realized that what love is in true senses then she understood that she was never was in love with him.So she is referring that her realization of love for Ruhaan is what it gave clarity that she never felt love with Veer like this. She was even continuing to say that more but Veer was not in a state to listen. What she told to Rdahika is also almost same. She is saying that a person has to feel the need of seeing her love when she/he is dying but she hasn't felt that for Veer. She was in the uncertainity of her life and in that situation she was content die like that being with Ruhaan which made her realize that she is not in love with Veer.

@bold.. she dealt with it when Veer mom was saying to her that she is like her father..this labelling doesn't made her flip flop again to go back to Veer even after having feelings for Ruhaan just to be in the image of a good person as per society norms. She accepted that she came to a situation in her life which she never wanted to , but when she is at this situation she has choosen her love which she believes is the best thing to do for everyone than thinking about her image..

After Ruhaan saying that he prioratizes his love for Mishti over everything else and himself too.. then if he don't try to make her feel lite in this situation cause which may make him remind that this might be the reason for his friend being hurt.. then it is hypocrisy. Now he is clear and consistent. Like you said, if he is merely a love interest of Mishti, then that's what he has choosen with clarity. Being a lover of her.

Nandini was acting like she is totally unknown to how it could effect Mauli when she is romancing with Kunal and then only before Mauli she is saying that I never wanted to hurt you.. and all. Where as Ruhaan is always thinking himself and taking that accountability that he is betraying his friend but he doesn't want to cheat his own feelings. There is a lot of difference. Ruhaan can be blamed for anything but not definitely for being hypocrite.

This is your opinion and your interpretation I respect that, let's agree to disagree. I am not liking the way they are writing characters. There is more to Mishti and Ruhaan than Mishaan, Ruhaan can't just be a love interest

I swear Ruhaan is only their to worship Misthi like chii why the overdose of those kissing and overly touchy scenes and Misthi lying down on his bed and smelling his shirt is honestly cringe af. This is not pyaar its coming of as lust. Sorry to say but Ruhaan is behaving like Nandu even she was like I feel bad for Mauli but was enjoying hanky panky with Kunal same with Ruhaan I feel bad but then he romances Misthi.

I can't said I agree with you. Veer and Mishti did have physical intimacy, it was definitely implied. Anyway, lack of intimacy does not imply respect. Veer showed that he was bothered by seeing a new side of Mishti, meaning he didn't really know her. Veer is nothing like Ishaan, I would not even compare those two. That is the problem with season 2, everyone is trying to compare to season 1 characters, no Veer is not Ishaan, Mishti is not like Kunal or Mauli, they are all their own people. Mishti did the right thing by breaking it off with Veer once she got clarity of her feelings. It would have been disrespectful to continue the relationship and cheat on him, whether emotionally or physically. As for what constitutes true love, what does it matter? Mishti knows this for sure, she does not feel for Veer what she feels for Ruhaan. She is not jumping into marriage now with someone she does not have those kinds of feelings for. That is the only right decision. How her relationship progresses with Ruhaan is now between them without dragging Veer into it.

I would still call it gender bias. Unfortunately in ITV still a sarvagunsampanna FL and angry, abusive ML works. So Ruhaan might be seen as refreshing for a few. But saw a couple of serials on ITV itself where the hero wasn't abusive and in their own way they made the FL feel like princess. And that definitely didn't include hugging & kissing at the drop of a hat. That's how it should be. We should now stop showing that women are the ones who sacrifice and when men do, we shouldn't make it sound like as rare as Halley's Commet.

The amount of abuse Mishti hurled at Ruhaan, if Kunal did that to Nandini & she still ran behind him, you could see flood of comments against abuse against women. Now that it's Ruhaan, it's like Banda Kitna Pyaara Hain, Mishti-ko Samajhta Hain & all.

So, I personally think gender reversal has been done here purposefully to make it accepted by audience.

But we can always agree to disagree. 😇

Yeah man, the writers clearly cannot care less about actually delivering a compelling story. Its a spin off of a TV show with limited episodes, 90% of the viewers are fan of a couple and are happy watching their scenes together- there's no incentive for the writers to actually put in an effort to write a story. And good for them since their target audience seems to be happy and they are getting good viewership.

Completely agree with this. 👍

I started watching for Mauli - Ishaan flashbacks and while waiting for that had seen too much of this to leave. You said it perfectly with your fried food analogy.

The comment that I was looking for. It pretty much sums up my views about the show perfectly.

I loved Mauli in Season 1 and hated KuNan. Aditi's Mauli is the best thing that ever happened to the show. I began watching Season 2 regularly for Mauli's daughter, and Tejaswi n Kunal.

But then things took a turn. I began liking Pari more (though now she has been turned into a dumbass). But even then, for long, I refrained from criticizing Mishti, bcoz like you said - she is FAR better than Kunal. She had her moments of dilemma n inner conflict. She accepted her feelings n broke up. My respect goes out to Mishti as she didnt exactly "cheat", as in, two-time with both men like Kunal did with Mauli n Nandini. Moreover, MishVeer were not married. My consideration for her is there so far.

But beyond that, MisHaan make me uncomfortable. Like really, really uncomfortable. Contrary to what I have read in this forum, it is NOT true that some of us dont appreciate MisHaan bcoz this time a woman is making a strong choice. I, for one, am completely in support of women taking charge of their lives. Sacrificing, abla naaries are passe now. This is the age of modern women who live life on their own terms, and I am glad, TV heroines are transforming in that direction.

My concern is, whenever I watch the show, only one thought bothers me...What if my fiance had done the same to me? What if he breaks up 1 month before our wedding bcoz he has suddenly fallen in love with my bestfriend (of all people)? Especially, when I have given everything that I could to make him happy? Would I be able to take the rejection as lightly as I expect Veer to? Would I not consider it cheating?

I personally would. Even if they "officially" start their relationship only post disclosing the truth to me, I would still never forgive my fiance n bestfriend for the same reason I never liked KuNan (marriage or no marriage). I may not avenge them like TV serial vamps 😆, but would completely cut them off from my life.

Now, if MishVeer had never had anything between them or if Veer was abusive/negative, then MisHaan would have been perfectly justifiable. But since that is not the case, it is hard for me personally to root for them. But yeah, that is my POV. Others may disagree.

From what I see, 3 factors helped the CVs immensely to establish MisHaan's popularity. First, Veer's poor acting (by Rohan). Perhaps they had chosen a lesser actor deliberately this time, seeing what a wonderful actor (like Aditi) can do to the viewers. Second, more popular n capable actors with sizzling chemistry as MisHaan. And third, of course, the gender reversal (as you mentioned).
