....... Toh mujhe manzoor nahin😭❤️👍🏼 This line gave me the goosebumps of the warmest kind🤗Reminded me of my dearest grandfather and his words of wisdom, more than a decade ago, when I was at a juncture of dilemma in my life. His words "Yes, an honest, transparent, dispassionate, responsible, do gooder is good if you are looking for a head of the institution or to head a country. But for a life partner, you need somebody more than that. You need somebody who has your best interests at heart, who can be selfish on your behalf, who would actually listen to your likes, dislikes and WHAT makes you tick" Really guys, my eyes smarted up as Ruhaan said those words to her🤗, highlight of the episode.
So in deference to this, I will try to focus on all the positive aspects of today's episode . First off, the first 17-18 min., barring the Ruhaan and his sponsor or PR scene is gibberish, watch at your own risk😳. I didn't understand most of Veer's lines, but really, didn't care to go back and listen to his exact points. Enough, that I understood he is not feeling all toasty. Good enough for me, need no details, not interested. I am like a monkey, I can't control my thoughts as I watched that sequence. Two thoughts invaded me as I was watching that sequence and the play of emotions on the face of the actor playing Ruhaan. 1. Why did the director not pick up on the strong traits of each actor? They could have easily shown the Veer guy turn towards the window and stare out into the horizon as he utters whatever he utters. Atleast, his focus toh dialogues maarne mein hota, now poor guy had to show play of emotions on his face which should have been so varied from disbelief, to disappointment, to hurt, to anger to pain to devastation AND lines too. Didn't the director understand that it is too much for this guy to do? It is like asking a preschooler to do algebra🤔Then, we could have watched play of emotions on Ruhaan's face with Veer's monotony. Now, we were forced to watch and listen and I could neither see nor understand anything. 2. They could have at least had the Veer guy throw all that debris around, break that mirror in real time rather than make him sit with all of that strewn around, at least he would have shown some emotion breaking the mirror or for example tearing a photograph, than to show EXPRESSIONS while sitting and doing nothing. Blame the director. I think this guy really should look for a career in modeling rather than acting, he is hopeless😳
As for Taani, Robbie sequence, as disgusting as it is, we have to understand that this is very real. If they are really going to tackle teenage defiance and pregnancy issues, I am interested. But, if this is for some other stupid ulterior motive, to give importance to sissy, my guns will be blazing😡. I really want to see how sissy will stand up for her friend and his crisis, for all the crying out that they are doing about " no love, but best friends yaar" umpteen times. I guess, social message is that the teenagers now are knowledgeable enough to make sure they are protecting themselves against STI and pregnancy? Is that what they are trying to get at? But, agar protection hain, toh, pregnancy kahaan se aayegi? That Robbie guy is typecast with his styling and all, as a trouble with a capital T from the beginning as is Taani. The girl is completely useless, I am disappointed bua didn't sense more trouble than what she perceived. Letting two teenagers of opposite sex sit in a room with doors closed ( I am talking about Ansh and Taani ), no matter how closely they know each other's families is a big no-no. I hope the viewers at least pick up this fact from the show. It is not a matter of mistrust, but it is a matter of hormones, experimentation, rebellion and a lot of other things which will be at play. OK, message over from my side...........
Best part is undoubtedly, character Ruhaan in today's episode. Did I tell you, I am more than impressed with how his character had shaped up? The actor had completely succeeded in winning me over. Forever, skeptical creature that I am, I didn't like how he was shown in the first few episodes, arrogant, almost bordering on chauvinism to look at where we are now. Silent, observant, sensitive, responsible, quietly confident, accountable guy who understands the value of life, clear in his thoughts and actions, sorted out priorities. I again commend the writers for writing male leads such as the ever dazzling Superstar Ishaan and now Ruhaan👏These two have prioritized their women ( Mishti, Mauli in the case of Ishaan and Mishti in the case of Ruhaan ) over and above their ownself and everything, they ensured happiness of these women before they cared about their own, they stood as rocks behind their women, silently showing them of their unwavering support, protection. We need more shows like this, in this era of atrocities against women/girls, and to combat the thought process that women/girls somehow have to be possessed and controlled. At least, the take away would be that the girls actually would for lack of a better word " fall" for guys with these traits🤔Aaj kuch jyaada nahin ho rahaa hain, mere side se???OK moving on.....
Ruhaan's promise to himself that he is going to be there for Mishti, no matter what, through thick or thin❤️. Is there anything more sweeter than this👍🏼? The way he pacified her, tried to take over her burden onto him, comforting her and reassuring her is out of the world. The guy is living his pledge of " taking her pain", literally and figuratively. Love it. She is relieved with his words and the comfort he provided, but you can clearly tell he is troubled. The guy is living her agonies for her👍🏼if it makes any sense. I am liking what they are showing so far, two characters, mature enough to own up to their mistakes, responsibilities, not shying away from accountability, but also do the right thing by themselves and people around them to the best of their ability- this is as real as it gets. OK, need to stop now before I turn away people reading this.
Later girls.......
