no one forced mishti to make promises and get engaged to boring veer.. no one asked her to say 'i will marry u a 100 times' to him.. it was her own choice to kiss him on lips clearly saying 'i love u' to him.. now she should just throw him out of her life because ruhaan is making her hormones surge like crazy 🥱
Firstly, Ishaan wasn't boring! He was the best character in season 1. While I agree that Veer is boring and not good for Mishti. Veer is all about how perfect Mishti and his relationship with Mishti is. Didn't like him when he termed Mishti's concern for his mother as drama. So I would say that Ishaan and Veer aren't alike in any way.
Secondly, Kunal wasn't wrong in falling for Nandini but he committed a sin when he started an extramarital affair. He was wrong in keeping Mauli in dark about his relationship with Nandini.
People, like me want Mishti to dump Veer and choose Ruhaan because of the following reasons:
1. Veer is of the opinion that Mishti is perfect and that their relationship is perfect. Either he doesn't see the flaws in Mishti or he has chosen to ignore them to maintain that "we are perfect" vibe.
2. It is okay to be a perfect son but Veer should have been considerate about Mishti's choices. He knew that she didn't like the engagement ring that his mother did but he didn't stop her the moment Mishti was clearly lying about her choice of the ring just to impress his mother. Proposing her later with the ring that Mishti liked and all that stuff doesn't matter when he couldn't make that comment in front of his mother.
3. Veer is in love with/likes/prefers the perfect Mishti, the one who doesn't have any flaw, the one who is perfect for him and his family. But in comparison, Ruhaan brings out the real Mishti, the one who is flawed, the one who is bold, fierce, insecure and hurt.
4. I seriously didn't like it when Veer made a mockery out of Mishti's concern. He termed her worry for his mother as drama. And then he called it a joke! Like seriously? Who jokes about stuff like this?
5. When with Veer, Mishti is all goody good, sweet, responsible and just perfect but when she is with Ruhaan, she is fierce, annoying, silly, childish, gets angry/mad over silly reasons and all that stuff. With Veer, Mishti is perfect but when with Ruhaan she is flawed. Ruhaan brings out the worst in her. Mishti doesn't have to pretend to be perfect in front of him.
So who should Mishti choose? Flase perfection or true reality? Should Mishti choose Veer in front of whom she is someone whom she actually isn't? Just one side of her? Or should she be with Ruhaan, with whom she is in her true self? All the shades of her?
I have commented about this before that Veer represents the commitment and stability that Mauli got from Ishaan (Ishaan and Mauli did love each other). Mishti is afraid of love and has termed her desire for commitment and stability as love. This is why she got engaged to Veer.
But now Ruhaan has come and he is bringing out her insecurities and fear. It's like he is showing her the mirror in which Mishti can see her true reflection, the cracks in her perfect and shining armor. He is creating a havoc in her perfect life.
