Why Ishaan wants Mauli to go back?

Yes, this Nandini's Kunal was not in love with Mauli. Shakti acted brilliantly, brought same aggression in today's episodes

Let his memory come back in perfect order..he hasnt yet recalled his daughters. He just blvd that she lied and nandu ran away...

once he will get consciousness and sees his daughters, we will also get to know whom he really loves

To be honest, I don't think it's Ishaan's selflessness. Frankly it's utter dumbness that now he wants out.

There have been posts regarding both Mauli & Ishaan that how one should not lose self-respect & how they are perfect for each other. Yes, both are gems at heart & probably best suited for each other.

But THE HEART WANTS WHAT THE HEART WANTS this saying hasn't originated just in one day. Sometimes, people just want to have their loved ones in their lives at any cost. They even overlook the pain they are receiving in the process. Mauli & Ishaan are like that. Mauli had literally begged Kunal to come back to her preleap. Not a dignified choice but a choice she made out of love. The same goes for Ishaan. Whatever he has done, it's been for Mauli.

But right now, he is doing it for himself. Because he doesn't want to get hurt. He is taking decisions for both of them without knowing & more importantly asking Mauli. Mauli was still living in her past when they got engaged. Ishaan chose to ignore that because he wanted her. And now when Mauli is ready to move on, Ishaan is ready to let go. It's because Sweety & others' remarks have shaken him.

I wouldn't say he is becoming insecure. Because when you love someone too much you are bound to get insecured & terrified of losing them. But it's your & your partner's mixed effort that helps you restoring your belief in love & moving on. Ishaan is doing this for everyone Mauli, Pari, Mishti, Malhotras. But he is actually doing it for himself because he doesn't have the courage anymore to fight for his love. And I do blame him for this. He went to extreme extent to help Kunal without thinking anything. And now he is misinterpreting Mauli's feelings.

I am not saying he is the bad guy here. But he is definitely the dumb guy here who in this case is attempting to back off from a relationship just because he is too scared to listen to the answer.

It's not selflessness anymore.

PS. Not a MauNal shipper so please don't misinterpret my opinion. I am & will always be on team Mauli.
