I think this will be true you know my theory got proved with kunals Precap wala dialogue of Phir Maine apne giribaan mein jaak ke dekha ...i dont know but I feel this is the theory

Kunal definitely did not have his memory back when he faked his headache, he was testing Mauli then. So if his memory did indeed come back, it would have to be on the drive there.
