Mauli's reaction to Kunal's death

I for one expected a complete breakdown of Mauli, because if I put myself in her place and think about love of my life dying, it would have broken me completely..

I have few theories on her reaction -

1 Too much pain - I have noticed that Mauli has become very meek and submissive after she was asked to leave Malhotra house, losing your husband, your family then your daughter refusing to go with you is painful, if it was someone else she would have committed suicide, everything that has happened to her is so depressing, then she gets the news that kunal is dead, basically she has a mental block which is protecting her from the pain

2 It's a TV show, Maunal are soulmates, everyone is telling her that he is no more but she does not feel it, I remember reading a novel where female lead gets into an accident and male lead says that she isn't dead, his friend asks him about it, he says if she was he would have felt it.. So he was obviously worried and scared but he couldn't feel it

3 She has to stay strong, we have always stated that Mauli is a strong woman, during Kunal's bridge collapse accident, Mauli was so scared, she wanted to cry but she had to show that she is strong, later she went to Nandini and cried her heart out, in today's episode she was trying to find a place to cry but she couldn't because she has to be strong, it's either she controls herself or she'll lose it completely, but she can't do it as she has to be strong for Pari, Dida, Radhika and Mishti too.. It's like when the leader of the house does not cry because he has to arrange everything, I saw this when my grandmother passed away, my father was obviously in pain but couldn't lose himself completely as he had to arrange everything...

4 Gajra told Aditi "Kuch bhi kar lo", she was so tired of writing she did not give Aditi and idea of what she has to do, so she told Aditi that do anything, cry a little not too much because MauHaan fans will be upset and don't laugh on Kunal's death because Maunal's fans would be upset, so Aditi is crying here and there not too much and not too little..

At first I was disappointed with the lack of reaction from Mauli, but I had second thoughts.

I shared this in Maunal AT too, but reposting my views here:

She trying really hard to put up a facade today -- this is how Mauli is. She always is the one who took care of the Malhotras. They lean on her, and she happily takes their weight upon herself. The last scene, where she couldn't face Pari spoke volumes to me. When she leaned on Ishaan, it was to signify that she's broken too, but she's exhausting herself mentally and physically for the sake of the rest of them. She wants to hide behind Ishaan, and for a moment, cry to herself because she is broken inside... but Mauli can't do that, because Pari needs her. She's a damn hero. The girl who has always put others before herself. This is the Mauli we know.

This is why I would love a scene where she goes to the bathroom and cries, let's everything out, breaks down completely, and then comes out to comfort everyone again. Just so we can clearly be shown what she feels.

I don't think the writers themselves know. It changes daily. So hard to keep up with what these characters feel. They change twice a day.

For now I am sticking to #3. As I said in another post that we could see Mauli tries to hold it in. She grits her teeth, she covers her face, she hides her face. She is in shock and also a little in denial. She can't lose it and tell Radhika to be okay. She can't lose it and tell Pari her dad with come back.

With Mauli I have also noticed she takes a lot of time processing things. So in coming days hopefully we will see more. Or maybe we won't see anything and Kunal will be found 😊 I really want to see a Kunal in the hospital and Mauli care for him track. A lot of people have mentioned amnesia. Amnesia generally gets viewers excited but I don't know how I feel about that.

I am thinking that her breakdown is on the way, they can't ruin it by showing it without Kunal, I know it's stupid of me to expect anything from Gajra The-Rider-Of-Two-Boats Kotari, but Meh

To be honest I found Mauli's reaction both today n yesterday a little underwhelming, but then I understood. Here's a woman, in one stroke people who had her back, her rocks were taken away from her. Kunal forcefully severed her ties with the Malhotra family and she couldn't do a thing. And then to make matters worse Mishti refused to go with her. To top it all she had fallen in love with Kunal all over again and then Mehek was shoved on her face and she was made to see different versions of Kunal. There's so much of pain in her that i am amazed that she's still standing.

Mauli's understated reactions also attribute to the fact that now she is now not sure what her relation is with Malhotras, as they let her go easily when Kunal was playacting. This Mauli is rudderless and this is because of the emotional vaccum which has been created. And now shes almost like a robot nodding her head on every single thing. This is not the Mauli we know and the real Mauli will break open the shell when she realises what Kunal has done for her and Mishti and she has not been abandoned.

Ps: your point 4 is hilarious. I can really see Gajra saying all these things.😆

Hello.

I'm a logical viewer & logical shipper.

In reality i can't tolerate shit on myself so the same i want to in reel life women / men can't tolerate shit on name of love & sizilling chemistry.

About death no one want for anyone death be it close one or unknown person. Anyone get upset & shock to see or hurt about death be it close one or unknown person too.

In reality we spend all our half live with our close one & then we parted away from them after some time we get to know about their death, so we not react like shock & fill break down ? Yes we feel shock & break down too. Exactly happen here with Mauli too.

Mauli feel shock & also some time break down too because Kunal is not unknown person here for her, he is one once upon time she live with him happy fairy tell life before marriage & after marriage too (7 yrs) day-night.

When he cheated her with other women that to her own best friend of child-hood & rip her soul, trash her, left her to death, don't care about her & move on, she not hate him & without asking forgive him & his did. So how can any one say she can't feel sad, shock & ever can't break down after hearing about death of kunal. Its beyond logic for me. And I see in this forum no one say she can't feel sad & break down for him even Ishali / Muahaan / Ishti shipper too.

So once again as logical shipper i can't deny Mauli feel sad, shock & also break down to after hearing her ex death & also pretend as strong in front of Dida, Mumma, Pari, Mishty as family head as so so mauli righteous mauli pre-leap mauli who became bread earner & head of the family for malhotra clan whom their own bloody son suck & left them for other women.
