I love foreshadowing. I just don't know if Indian tv writers have enough sense in them to pull one like this. Even though they always do little ones all the time.

In episode one Mauli tells Kunal if he met Nandini before her he would've definitely married her. (Kunal did end up marrying Nandu) Then Kunal tells her and he would've broken her heart because after that he would've met her (well he didn't break her heart but he is meeting Mauli again) and he would've fallen in love with her. I always found that line so interesting because Kunal always seemed so sure that he would find his way back to Mauli no matter what. They could've written these lines in other ways.

So with all these discussions these days about how how can MauNal be together if Kunal doesn't love her and loves Nandini only. I feel like they can write a story where Kunal falls in love with Mauli again.

i always used to think that this would happen but then kunal said that nandini is his manzil and mauli is just a padaav.. and kunal (shakti) has got so much hatred for the ema. so they end up making it special and pure and what not.. and now pari is also in picture.. kunal may again fall in love with her seeing her sacrifice for him ( yes, i will say that was a sacrifice when she didnt play pregnancy card and let him go) and her love/affection for pari.. but i seriously dont want that..
then kunal will lose all his sympathy for being a single parent.. post leap he seems to be a little changed person.. i dont want writers to butcher his character again..

what would he say to himself ? "jise main padaav samjhta tha wahi meri manzil thi" ? that will be an insult to nandini and his love . that too whwn nandini is not alive and he has a kid with her

^ Agree. But he was clearly wrong about the manzil thing. Nandini died within 4 years of marriage and he still has a long life ahead of him.

I always felt writers were going to end with Mauli and Kunal even before DD announced her exit. Ep1 heavily hints on the future Nandini/Kunal track. So if I believe that they are hinting upcoming future track they have hidden hints about all of it. Like Kunal with the Mauli tattoo. Writers told us that Kunal will get lost, in other words they were saying the marriage will be lost. But then they also told us you can't take Mauli from Kunal because she is his forever through her name written there forever. If the scene's objective was to show how much Kunal loves Mauli they could've done the tattoo on his wrist or his biceps...his chest close to his heart. But the point wasn't just to show he loves her. The point was to tell us the marriage will be in danger, and I think also to tell us but not forever.

It's these two scenes that always stayed with me. There was a Nandini hint and then an after. Like "you would've definitely married her," followed with an "after that I would've fallen in love with you." Later "I can lose the wedding band" followed with "now you are mine forever."

hehe. @rimjhim i agree to all your points ..
the story was written this way only.. they always wanted mauli kunal to end up together.. like kunal nandini affair had a very weak base.. the contrast between the ladies and their qualities is made very clear.. mauli helping nandini, and then kunal's immense love for mauli ... those dialogues like " main kho jaun to muje dhund lena." "main kisi aur ko pasand bhi kru to fir bhi muje dubara tumse pyaar ho jaega"
were hints that he will fell in love with mauli again..

but thw story and characterisation fell flat and cvs started justifying kunal. and now he has a daughter with nandinj and she is dead..

loving mauli back isnt easy.. i mean showing him falling for her needs much more time than he took falling for nandini..
he can not wake up one day and say oh shit mauli was my manzil and i didnt realise this..

Totally agree. I watch this show Jane the virgin when the girl is stuck in a love triangle for a while and then she marries one and says things like he was the "always the one", the other one she dated was a "mistake". Then her husband dies. And after 4 years she is back with the one she dumped and called a mistake. It's a tricky story to tell and to do it justice you need good writers and a lot of time and patience. You have to honor the past choice otherwise your character looks fickle and foolish but you also have to show this new love is something important and great. In that show the writers did a great job because you see where the characters grew. You see that they changed and the new version of them click in a way the old one never did. In Silsila's case so far they haven't done that. And I am afraid they never will because the writers are just bad writers...

@bold -- this!!! yahi toh..
i cant imagine him saying "main nandini se pyaar kia tha. wo bhi sach tha aur aaj main fir se ek baar tumse pyaar kr baitha hun. "
he will be plain selfish if he says so..
nandini's death will play a major role here. if she were alive and they had no baby then his coming back to maulo would havw made sense

the writing needs sensitivity and maturity which they never had..
so this is the thing which makes me feel like maunal are definitely not the end game.. and mauli will chose ishaan in the very last episode...

but if they really want to make kunal feel something for her then they have to be patient and not make him a despo again.. they can go fast with other things but mauli kunal thing should be handled with utmost patience..

If someone is so fickle then you should just throw him from your life no matter how dear he is to you. If one can cheat once he can do that again because not cheating is a choice which man makes.

I don't really think people can fall in and out of love as easily as Kunal does. He loves Mauli then falls out of love with her and in love with nandini automatically , now he is going to fall out of love with nandini and back in love with Mauli . This show has made a joke of both love and marriage. It's actuslly quite ridiculous..but then it's just a fictional story so they can show anything they want .

Off topic but I'll never forget those episodes and those dialogues. That was all truly romantic. I also took it as foreshadowing by the way...and as for Jane the virgin, team Michael or team Ralph? Lol my best friend is a big JTV fansand loves Brett and Gina so I've cried abt JTV witv her.

Back on topic. Kunal would be lucky if he falls in love with mauli again. Even if she rejects him, I think just loving her would make him such a better person. Hr lost himself when he began to slip away from her. That Kunal doesn't exist anymore. So if he loves her it may improve him as a person. He'd become a more compassionate, open, and empathetic guy...bec that's what mauli is.

Those days were bliss and they were genuinely in love. Most of the dialogues hinted that he will get back to mauli only.
But his character got butchered. Two mistakes done by Kunal can't be forgiven in my opinion
1. Sleeping with nandini while he was married to Mauli
2. Doubting her over pregnancy

Thank god pari born after wedding ( I sincerely wish she is not ema child...she does look younger)

Rest all his deeds were based on situations.

But these two were worst of worst

I agree to peolpe who have felt that he is now a changed person.
