i actually dont even understand why mishti needs to be co-parented by Mauli and Kunal, let alone the scenario the tm is describing. mouli needs to forgive kunal to let go of her own anger and resentment. once that is gone, then there is nothing left in that relationship, as it should be. but in no ways should a romantic patch up or mothering pari in any way be a part of that equation. the regard should be no more and no less than for your child's sibling or a step child by your ex-husband...so ex-stepchild, not current one. when they are in your vicinity, be kind and uninvolved otherwise. she is not an orphan and mouli is not her guardian. the only scenario its acceptable is if kunal dies along with ma and dida, they leave pari to ishaan and mouli. anything else, they are writers who are men writing a story of a man's convenient ass life, which will suck.
and now the issue of mishti's 'co-parenting'...why? mishti doesnt seem to think shes lacking a dad. they keep on saying that mishti needed her father and kunal wasnt there, or that mishti doesnt even know her dad's name...well...from what i have seen so far, she DOES know her father's name- ishaan. she knows who her popsie is. unless im mistaken thats why she calls him that right? cos she thinks he's her dad? then why does she need to be disoriented at such a young age just so kunal can have a piece of a child he thought was inconvenient at the very best and just non-existent at the very worst? ofcourse she has the right to know and they should inform her when she understands what sex, marriage, affairs and divorces are, why before then?
and kunal, he has a kid who makes him happy, nobody can do anything about the dead wife, both kids are happy, mouli would be happy if she let herself be, ishaan would be happy if mouli let herself be, ma and dida are happy...then why even create an inconvenient option? mouli certainly isnt obligated to inform him of the child, she already did and he chose not to believe her. she's under no further obligation to reaffirm him of the existence of their child. and if he does find out and has a shred of decency, he will never even try to step into ishaan's shoes or contest the role of anything more than a sperm donor in Mishti's life. if he is not a decent person, then surely his mother and dida would still be a decent enough person to attest to his knowing and denying the pregnancy and then divorcing mouli for his mistress...no court in the world would give him custody then. really the only ideal situation is kunal pari living with dida and ma whilst mouli moves on with ishaan and mishti. mishti can always visit her grandmothers and that way kunal can be in her life as an uncle or mum's friend, till shes old enough for the truth.
