Hey guys,

I am new to this forum. 😛

Actually I was watching the show from begining but was caught up with exams, so did not get time to come to the forum. 😊

Anyway let me come to the point. 😆

Have any of you guys watched the Pakistani show Shukk starring Adeel Hussain, Sanam Saeed, Ayesha Khan? That show had similar concept of EMA.

Adeel and Ayesha's characters were an ideal couple in the show.

Sanam was in a bad marriage. Sanam and Ayesha became friends after they became neighbours.

The only difference was that in the show Sanam's character was engaged to Adeel's character for a short span, before they broke off because Adeel was already in love with Ayesha.

In this show, even though Adeel and Ayesha were an ideal couple , after Sanam came into their lives, Adeel and Sanam got closer.

Even in that show Ayesha tried to save Sanam from her evil husband and mother in law.

I feel that makers of SBRK had the same plot in mind. Because in that show they tried to justify EMA by showing how Ayesha turned hostile ( which in my opinion was totally correct in that situation though). May be makers would have made Mauli to behave like that in Silsila to justify why Kunal went to Nandini. But somehow their plans did not work and they had to change the story.

Okay please pardon me, because I dont know whether I made any sense or not 😆

And if anyone has watched Shukk or intend to watch , then please let me know what do you guys think 😛

Ehtessam was a jerk, but best thing was Saniya and Sehrish were not bestie, but still it looked total crap.

Indeed Ehtessam was a jerk, just like Kunal 😆

And the show was a crap, unlike other Pakistani shows , which alqays have a solid story 😛

Saniya and Sehrish were not friends since childhood,but they did become very good friends later

The only difference was that indirectly Sehrish caused Saniya's divorce, unlike in SBRK, where Mauli actually helped Mauli.

Also Saniya resisted Ehtessam a lot, unlike Nandini, who gave in to Kunal's advances really easily.

What I feel that makers made Mauli pregnant , so that they can show a similar track like Shukk, where Mauli loses her child and Kunal has a reason to go to Nandini. But somehow it did not work.

Yes. That was a rare Pakistani drama that I did not like 😕

I was so disappointed when Saniya actually agreed to stay with Ehtessam. I was like hello!! What is wrong with you woman?

You are proving Sehrish right, you are giving her more reason to do "Shukk" on you both 🤢

I started watching that show from half and ended up supporting saniya😆 I watched from sehrish blabbering everything to Saniya's husband and then her husband dumped her. I thought Sehrish was that shukki type woman who would go to any extent without any proof... But when I watched it from beginning... Oh gosh! Saniya and Ehtesham really treated her like a trash... Sehrish tried to fight with saniya's abusive in laws, she became friend and she was super supportive, but she was not aware that saniya and Ehtessam were engaged once upon a time... That fact actually made her little insecure and that's human nature... she warned both of them to stay away, but loonies never paid any attention... I didn't like it the way sehrish tried to fight for that loser, but glad she walked out saying that she has not seen life beyond marriage, she is walking out to see life without husband. Worst part was Shehrish was having problem in conceiving.😕

Waise Shehrish unintentionally caused Saniy-Ali's divorce, but Ali never treated sania as wife, she was aaya to take care of his bimar maa, not like it was any kind of loss. Infact saniya got freedom from that motor mouth buddhi who used to spew venom😆 but sehrish lost everything.

One more common thing- Ehtassham's mom supported Sehrish. 😆

Drama was total headache. 😆

The story of shukk was much different. In that show the wife was shown as negative and kept doubting on her husband. Mauli here was shown as the complete oppsite

If Silsila is a rip off of Shukk,then I must say the makers took viewers too lightly.
In that show Sehrish had destroyed Saniya's life twice. Firstly Saniya's engagement with Ehtessam broke because of her. And later,because of Sehrish, she got divorced. But here, Mauli is too good. She only helped Nandini. Even though Sehrish unintentionally caused harm to Saniya, Mauli had only helped Nandini.

Also, here Mauli herself brought Nandini to her house to save her from Rajdeep. While Ehtessam brought Saniya to their house behind Sehrish's back.

Also outsiders sehrishs friend and her hubby played their parts into manipulating her coz of jealousy and this led to so much of a mess for sehrish and etesham. Sehrish basically helped in spreading rumors about her hubby and saniya at the office he lost his job and he had the guilt of knowing his wife caused saniya to get divorced and also saniya couldnt take her son with her the ex wouldnt at first.

One thing in shukh was everyone made mistakes no one was perfect circumstances were just a big mess and one interesting thing was how as a guy etesham felt maligned by his own wife usually its the woman who gets the crap but eteshams whole life got ruined due to his wifes accusations and her foolishness. Him even helping saniya and her son was mostly guilt but later it became something more. Though saniya should have not stayed with him but they made it like she had no where else to go hence the plot point lol

Exactly. Even though Sehrish was louder than how Mauli is, I could still relate to here as the wronged wife. She became that shukki type only after she got to know about Saniya Ektessam's engagement. I could not really blame her for how she behaved.

And here toh Mauli is a total sweetheart.

God knows how did the makers even think that they could justify Kunal Nandini relationship in this situation.

Although I believe that even a bad marriage is not an excuse for EMA, but in shows like Woh Apna Sa, you still feel bad for the husband a little, but Silsila is a totally different case 😆
