Complete change in story and characters

First of all, let's make it clear it is not being done to glorify Mauli, she doesn't need any glorification, she is already the most loved character and I don't think CVs are capable of understanding that love won't shift to Nandini, people will simply stop watching the show. I guess show has gotten a warning by channel, channel is doing very bad in TRPs (other shows are under scanner too) but seems like Silsila PH has decided to pack the bags and leave.

Mauli is being butchered, I knew this was coming because itv thrives on lowering one person to show another one as great, they don't write white, grey or black characters, they write white, grey and black situations. Characters if lead are always white, if villain then always back, if characters are like Mauli, Radhika and Dida then they are twisted to create the said situation in lives of lead.

Anyone with eyes, reading and comprehensive ability and a little knowledge of using a smart phone can see that what will work for the show if they want to continue or gain TRP. Then the question is why are they butchering Kunal and Mauli?

I guess (just a guess) that it has something to do with the rumors which came a few weeks ago. What happened was that a few DD fans started celebrating that DD is quitting the show, after that particular news if you notice the story has changed, Mauli started begging Kunal to stay, Kunal started manhandling Mauli, Mauli, who asked Kunal for divorce accepted him back without a thought, that's not how she was, she was loved by the audience for being a strong woman, this is not the Mauli we love, we don't want her to accept Kunal, we want her to have her baby and Kunal can live with Nandini, then Ahmedabad promotions happened and Aditi didn't go there, KuNan love was promoted heavily, Nandini has been in sacrifice mode, Rajdeep was brought back and it has literally happened in these two weeks, after those rumors.

There's no smoke without the fire, DD fans got the news from somewhere, why would fans spread some wrong information which will affect their favorites and here we are talking about DD fans and suffice to say they put her above everyone else, it's a quality that I admire from far.

Now there is a point, why would PH bring huge changes like this for one actress? The show is already sinking and if DD leaves this will garner bad publicity for the show.

If any of it is true, even then the damage is done to this show. A whole lot of audience already stopped watching. With ruin of Mauli, another whole lot would stop watching it too. With people not getting KuNan, another lot would do the same. The makers can air this show for who so ever they want if that fetches them TRP.

Well quitting rumour must have been false news started by fans.

I would like to know what message or what is the gist of silsila. What are the writers trying to tell us? Because Tbh this show is a mess. As the saying goes there has to be a moral of the story..I'm not getting any from silsila. Are they trying to tell us that EMAs are acceptable because the couple engaged in adultery because they are star crossed lovers..they are meant to be together as its divine...divine I take to mean that they have been chosen by the Lord above and it's destiny. And the woman he married according to religious customs ,,.and the child conceived in a marriage and 7 years of marriage to a good woman are nothing ... Are they insulting the sanctity of marriage ... And now that the viewers are not accepting this ,.they want to change the story. So are we going to see an educated professional woman take back a man who's had a sexual relationship with her friend, hurt her, verbally abused her, insulted her, forgot all his marriage vows, shown no consideration or gratitude for all she's done for him and his family.. Are they going to make a modern educated woman a doormat, a woman with no self esteem or self respect... I really hope not..

Why bring the actress to every post? Because most people dislike her? But why was Nandini's character butchered earlier by the same biased writer? 😕

@Arshi - Agreed. They should have ended the show with good trp and a good climax, with this stretching after revelation, we are headed no where. I am not sure if it's true or not, but I won't be surprised if it is because this show is a sinking ship. I don't really think that it can affect DD's position as one of the most successful actresses on TV, but I can say it has nothing to offer her, in terms of artistic pleasure. If she wanted to call it quit because of the reaction she was getting due to this story.

@Indira - They have changed story so many times that it's not making sense anymore, I think Gajra didn't think beyond revelation track. They should have ended the show after that only, with original climax.

@Intellect01 - I think they rushed to EMA and romance part thinking people want to see the leads together. Shakti said that fans wants to see KuNan as end game, so It can be possible that they rushed because they thought that KuNan chemistry will bring TRP.


@Archi DD is very much part of this show, I don't understand why you people think if we are to use her name it should start with "Great actress" and end with "Amazing Sarees". I do not hate her and I don't think anyone here hates her. I have stated that these are just speculations and if you have a point against my post, please make it. I'd like to know your thoughts on this, anyway I have messages the Mod to lock this thread, I don't want it to be an akhada for fights.
