many other famous actresses are doing mother mother in law roles..

Its not about the preference, its about the image I think. Once you are portrayed as a mother, getting a lead female role becomes difficult, as audience perception of the actress changes. Its more important in this industry to keep that girl /young woman image as newcomers are waiting to bag the lead role. if this was a long running show, then it makes sense but not sure as its not even 3 months. So its all up to her. Also, not sure if Shakti's contract also comes into picture as he will portrayed as a father. We will just have to wait and see what they show us.

Well that depends.

Erica (24 at that time) in KRPKAB played a mother role fairly well, even when it was not in her contract originally & she had her reservation about it, but she still did it. KRPKAB threw parents track after 10 months with a leap to move forward the story (It was surprising for everyone). It was her first TV show.

So, I think the actors of this show are in the age-group and in space where they might not have much apprehension to play a role of a mother.

Besides, Aditi has played a mother before in Gangaa to a 6 year old daughter, so it would not be the first time for her to portray a mature mother role. So, I doubt if she would have a problem with playing mother on the show.

Considering the theme of this show was mature with married couples, so playing mother clause might already be in the contract.

Source?? Where it is said that She didn't want to play mother as in nandini in silsila??

Drashti played mom in pardes.She had a baby in pardes so i don't think baby was isdue here her miscarriage was part of story in silsila .But yeah she didn't want to play a mother of 20 yr old gal so she quit the show in ETR2

@pamk - yaaa i understand that. but as @arshi said the lead actors in the show are in the age group of 30-35.. so i guess its okay for them to play a mother/father roles to a little one at least.. there are zillions os actors who are doing that. young actors actually.. and i am very much sure about it that pregnancy for both the ladies would be there in the contract as mostly ema things are moved ahead with this track only..

anyway.. the story is more important than anything..

lets see how it goes
