Well the wife decides to divorce him ..giving him a condition that she will only sign the papers if his girlfriend comes to court to see what has she done by breaking the family.. the girlfriend denies saying that she was never the part of what is happening in his family and that's his issue to resolve not hers.. she is not breaking his family and she will not keep her self respect at stake by appearing in the court.. she will by no means take the blame of her boyfriend's marriage ending..however her love for him makes her reach the court and bear the accusing eyes of the family..when the divorce papers are signed ..nobody is happy neither the wife nor the husband and his girlfriend...
The best part that I liked Abt the wives' character was she was initially ready to let the affair go on and have the tag of the wife.. which disturbed me ..which made me percieve her as a weaker character(doormat vibes)...However at the end she is the one who is satisfied with what life has bgouht for her ..and at the end she looked more content than that ex husband of her ..who even got to get married to his girlfriend.. The wife was now living her life that she never lived in that marriage..She was independent ..she was confident..she was happy ..and most of all she was practical...No baggages of past ...no love lost puppy eyes for the husband...she also went on to have no next partner..she proudly says I loved just one man..and that was you.. I don't need any other man in life ... Like she said ..when life gave her lemons..she squeezed them into her rum and enjoyed the rum...
