I don't follow this show, but a few days back on my Insta search its posts popped up. Seemed like quite a dramatic stuff going on. I've followed Shakti in MATSH, and he was the only reason I'd watch the show. Here, however, his character didn't excite me.
Moving further, there were a lot of praises for the girl that plays Mauli, and I was tempted to watch her. So I did. And surprisingly enough, she was marvellous! I skipped to her scenes only, since the rest was sickly predictable. The girl can ACT. And act so brilliantly. The revelation scene where she finds out about her husband's affair, boy, was she brilliant! Watching her crumble like that felt like watching a piece of glass shatter into shreds with a high-resolution magnifying glass in slow motion, where you could feel every shiver, every ounce of agony she went through. You could feel the fire she was burning in. Absolute powerful. I think she's the best thing about this show. Hands down.
Now, I don't get what makes Kunal and Nadini feel guilty (if at all). They didn't realise out of an epiphany that they had strayed from the right path; rather, they were both caught red-handed. Are they ashamed? Is it the fear of the social stigma that is eating them up?
Either way, the fire of several lifetimes to burn in guilt won't suffice for what they've done. Feel guilty or not, have a happy ending or not, these two will never find peace. No, not cursing them, but that's what happens when you break someone this much.
Guilt kills you.
