So Mauli has a scene with Chakor where she says that she's confused about the meaning of strong woman, should she be strong for Dida and Ma and give her relationship a chance in this one month or she should be strong for herself and leave in this month only..
It was not about future or giving Kunal a chance in future, it was about why Mauli has given Kunal this one month, she's simply being strong for ma and Dida, living with her cheater husband..

That's what I understood from the scene, Mauli's talk with Chakor will not be important in future as Chakor is not a part of this show, the whole scene was for audience confused as to why a woman like Mauli is giving in to Dida's blackmail.

Honestly, there's nothing that can butcher Mauli except Mauli accepting Kunal's love for Nandini, the only time when I was disappointed was when Mauli had said something about Nandini loving Kunal more than her

ah ok, that makes a lot more sense. was busy and distracted while watching and frankly, don't have energy to sit and listen to the nuances of this drama while the CVs deliver shady writing.
since they seem hung on this saat phere track, can see @bold happening with a kind of twist. as in mauli accepts kunal no longer loves her but stays married while kunal lives an empty married life as he is pining and a shell of a man.

if mauli and kunal have a proper and meaningful process to reconciliation, perhaps serial will get over? so we should mauli to get butchered?

was reading the promotional release when the drama was set to air -- "we are exploring an evolved and modern love story. the twist and turns every relationship goes through often complicates situations making the person break boundaries. this complicated yet interesting space will keep everyone intrigued and engaged with viewers contemplating the difference between what feels and what seems wrong. "

so friends, do you think the CVs met their intent?

@Mango_Pudding
A few video clips were leaked around February, audition video or something like that, in that there was a scene where Kunal was telling Nandini that he can't leave Mauli and Kunal was stopping Mauli from leaving..
In promos, Kunal says that he loves Mauli but Nandini means a lot to him, so from this I guess the story was about Kunal and Mauli reuniting but I guess they have changed the story now

It could still turn back onto that line. They have brought Kunal and Mauli back under one roof and are moving towards taking Nandini out of the picture. They could concentrate on Kunal making it up to Mauli and trying to place himself back in her life because he loves her, while they show Nandini turning cold and emotionless because she feels betrayed by Kunal. In fact, if anything, that's the path the CVs seem headed down with all these moments and crossovers during the pooja.

@bold1: Yes, she did that yesterday where she told Chakor that she knows that he does not love her and has left her, but the words that were stressed on were "grahasti which means household", parivar etc and Mama/Dida. Also, when Chakor prompted her, she also accepted silently that she still loves Kunal and that might help her to find it in herself to forgive him.

Till you prompted in the other post, it didnt even strike me about Kunal. Like his feelings, his intentions, his wishes were not at all taken into consideration. I am not surprised because that how this family works. There is no family talks here, each person takes their own decision and all the others follow. Also, may be because the assumption would be that Kunal is guilty so he will go with what Mauli decides.

Having said that, if Nandini is not in the picture, Kunal is not going to object at all but if she is still in picture, I do not know what his decision would be.

@bold 2: I think so because in the first phase, if we take Mauli and Kunal's marriage out of the equation, their relationship would have been right and everyone would have rooted for that. But when you get take this factors into consideration, the whole perspective of this relationship changes, the whole base of this relationship changes. So though, their love and their emotions are true, their intentions toward each other and towards that love is right, it is still feels and seems wrong.

I think the second phase would be Mauli and Kunal's relationship. If they go with giving us a loveless marriage, then again though the intention over there is correct, the relationship is correct, the base is correct, it would still feel and seem wrong if there is not love and it is just a compromise.

Thoughts???

@bold: The only thing left in Kunal's character is his love towards Nandini and his commitment towards that love. He ready to go to any lengths for that love and has destroyed everything that he stands for. Also, as Shakti has said, Kunal is not playboy. He does not have a loads of GF's. he genuinely loves Nandini so if they show him doing ping-pong between Mauli and Nandini, then they might as well declare him to be weak, indecisive and spineless person.

Having said that, I still feel that they can still go this route, but where Kunal will stay with Mauli because he recognizes the sacrifices Mauli has done in spite of him being the guilty party or not being able to give her everything that she deserves.

See, they can never take Kunal and Nandini out of the equation because that the base of this show, If they do that, then this would turn into another ITV series where the FL keep fighting the vamp, she wins and the cycle repeats. Also, they will never turn Nandini negative, she will always be gray and that would be because of her love for Kunal. Totally agree, she will turn cold but then how that hate turns back to love would be the next part.

Even though we hate and have made a lot of fun of it, I do feel that CVs,as of now, are very serious about this divine love, divine marriage thing. What they have shown us and are showing us is that Kunal/Nandini will always love each other and Kunal/Mauli will always be together.

My dear wish is that ITV for once surprises me and Mauli walks out of the marriage. I have ton loads of hope on her but let see what happens.

@ Bold: Somewhere I feel that the CVs are actually uncertain of which to proceed next, which is why they are doing this. If they feel that there are more viewers rooting for the divine marriage, then they may just show Nandini leaving at the end after realizing that she did come in between Kunal and Nandini. But if they realize that more people want Kunal and Nandini together, they could eventually proceed to divorce and marriage between these two.

I don't think anyone will accept both things because in it all 3 will be miserable for the rest of their lives. It's better to have one or the other because then only one person ends up miserable, while the other 2 put it past themselves and move on in life.

Of course it's better to have Kunal and Nandini end up together because these 2 love each other and this the CVs have established in many ways. It would really fake if suddenly Kunal and Mauli end up together because then they would have to show this sudden change in heart on the part of all 3.

@bold :Exactly.. Mauli is not Nandini. She is not selfish. Knowing her, do you think she will able to hurt Dida and his mom. If it was only Kunal, then she would not have even bothered but now the question is of parivar, household, family. Even to Sweety, Mauli said that this is our family's problem, we will take care of it. So that why I feels, that if the question was of choosing Kunal over herself she would have chosen herself but now the question is of choosing family over herself, choosing Dida's happiness over herself. Kunal is not at all in the picture here. But let see what choice she makes.

@pamk06 -- yea we may hate this but the CVs do seem very intent on divine love and now divine marriage.. however from viewer's perspective, the whole divine love and divine marriage seem to clash each other. when we say fated, we usually mean happy fate right? do we refer to unhappy events in our life as divine or fated? so thats why it is confusing. if they had simply said love and marriage, then all 3 ending up miserable would actually work. unless CVs are advocating something like both ghar wali, bahar wali or second wife kind of concept, it is actually really confusing what the CVs are trying to say...

and I agree with you @whyhate -- it would seem suddenly fake if kunal and mauli suddenly end up together happily. if they do end together, then it would seem more natural that it was because of family pressure but they are not entirely happy...

Yes, I do not like that divine angle at all and I would have preferred it, if they would not have got it into the picture at all. I guess the main reason for using it is because of the subject and the audience that they are catering too. In the end, its all TRP game and EMA is still a taboo subject in our country.

But if you remove the divine part of it, then its just love and marriage which make more sense where he loves one but cannot leave the other because of family pressure. I think that's where they are heading. Its kind of tragic love story which is not right because of the timing of it ( which they have stressed so many times "Wagt galat hain" )and an innocent soul that is impacted because of it.

Unless they do a total googly, change everything they have shown us till date and show K and M falling in love, which is also highly possible.

@pamk06 -- if they had simply gone towards love and marriage, then the backlash would have not been as severe. there is a lot of divorces these days that are happening because of ema. and there are plenty of people getting married for a second time.

the whole divine angle seems to have ticked off more viewers though...
