Not just any mans attention. Only her best friends man will do. If she wanted to date/attention she could have explored the restaurant wala nice college buddy no? CVs have royally screwed up

I partly get this sentiment. So she should have made a list of qualities she likes in him and tried to find/date similar people. Many girls idolize their dad/brother/brother-inlaw etc and want someone with similar qualities. Does that mean they entertain even the thought of relationships with them. No right?! Why because some things are a just a NOGOO. Too ickyyy. Thats why majority of audiences are grossed out. This bond was too sacred to break. But Nandini and Kunal have made a mockery of it. Jeth/devar bhabhi jaisa rishta tha dono me. But sage nahi he na. Literally. Dono sage nahi ho paye Mauli ke.

It makes perfect sense that Nandani fell for Kunal. Nandani has experience with two men in her life, her father and her ex-husband. In one of the earlier episodes, she talks about how she didn't know a marriage and a house could have so much love when she sees Kunal and Mauli together. She then says that in her house, there was no communication. And we all know what she went through with Rajdeep. So she is longing for the relationship that Mauli and Kunal have, something healthy and real with mutual respect and love. And Kunal was alongside Mauli helping her get out of a traumatic part of her life so it's not far fetched that she clung to a man that gave her respect and love and understanding, especially after Kunal saved her from committing suicide. In my opinion, this is unhealthy behavior from Nandani because Kunal was really great to her but that doesn't mean that she should fall for the first person that was nice to her. It is something she should talk about in therapy and sort out her issues. I don't think Nandani actually loves Kunal and she only loves the idea of him. Someone who is there for her, someone who talks to her and listens to her. I doubt the writers would ever think of it that way or present it to the audience in that manner but if they do then thats a huge step for Indian TV media to talk about mental health. I want Nandani to deal with her trauma and depression and anxiety.
