Section-498- Enticing or taking away or detaining with criminal intent a married woman "Whoever takes or entices any woman who is and whom he knows or has reasons to believe to be the wife of any other man, from that man, or from any person having the care of her on behalf of that man, with intent that she may have illicit intercourse with any person or conceals or detains with that intent any such woman, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both.

Ah the irony!!

Now If Rajdeep comes to know whatever is happening between Kunal and Nandini and is able to prove Kunal has other intentions, Kunal will be jailed but not Nandini since the Indian laws treat man as the abettor and woman as the victim.. But Rajdeep can use it to walk scot-free without paying Nandini alimony...

Although it doesn't happen in serials where characters are able to mysteriously circumvent set laws and live life as they wish, still lets see what happens...

i don't think any criminal law would erase the pain or betrayl mauli is going to suffer .

they both literally did not take a knife and backstab her physically . kunal is giving their pavitra prem credit to god . instead of taking responsible for his emotions driven actions

Rajdeep is a man who would use everything that will help him get back at Kunal-Mauli and Nandini lall together.

He will use it to land Kunal in jail to avenge Kunal beating him blue & black.

He will use it to see Mauli in pain for having slapped him & bringing Nandini to her home when she didn't want it.

He will use it to prove Nandini as characterless woman, get away with giving her alimony. Even if Nandini has to save Kunal, she has to come out in open for accepting mutual consent for this relationship. And still it won't be accepted. Because blame will be on Kunal for having seduced Nandini & Nandini won't be able to deny it either because that's the truth too. Kunal was leading this.

It won't be Rajdeep that will break Mauli, it will be Kunal's admission first & then final blow to Mauli will be Nandini's confession herself.

Only good thing is that Mauli can choose to divorce Kunal on her own conditions.
