Mauli's mom's hate is one of those that apparently have no strong reason. She is a kind of woman who will hate people easily rather than Love and appreciate them. Besides i think she doesn't like the fact that a grown up and beautiful woman like Nandini is staying with Mauli. Maybe she fears what if Kunal gets attracted to her ? (Just my thought)

About your next question-- well that happened preety abrupt. Nandini never had the scope of finding out what Kunal things or feels. It's still not clear. Maybe Nandini thinks it is just one sided and she is the only one to feel and Kunal just knows it but doesn't feel the same for her?! This fact is still hazy. Maybe it's better if the CVs clear it. Else it will turn out to be a blooper.
