Like I have seen people asking who are these people who want to see KuNan together and what agar unki real marriage break ho jaaye aise and stuff like thatš„±This is happening daily actually so people had to voice it out. Secondly coming to the point you raised.I till now don't see any similarity between DSDT and Silsila except for the trio connection. DSDT wasn't promoted as a show about EMA with Parth and Teni developing feelings for each other and not wanting to hurt Shorvori. The original premise of DSDT was how Parth and Shorvori were happy together and wanted a baby o complete their life and then enters Teni as surogate. No where any mention about EMA between Teni and Parth but eventually they changed the story by 180 degrees and made it about Teni and Parth's relation and forgot Shorvori who was supposed to be the main lead of the show. Here that is not the case my dear. The promos itself told you that Nandini and Kunal develop feelings for each other and this show is going to be about an EMA. What they showed is what they are giving. They didnt promise something else and now changing the story to give something else. And neither is Mouli a Shorvori and neither is Nandini a Teni. Mouli is an independent working woman and even without Kunal she can and probably will live her life independently. Nandini wasnt a happy go lucky surrogate who popped out of nowhere and suddenly started getting personal with the surrogate baby's dad. She is a very complex character. She has had a very painful past ,had an abusive husband, has been abused and raped ,had her baby killed at the hands of someone she loved the most. She is still in trauma and keeps getting flashbacks of Rajdeep. And the man just refuses to leave her life. She is seeking solace in a friend's home and family and ends up getting drawn to Kunal's niceness as this was something she always longed for deep within. Both are completely different scenarios. Here they have been doing justice to both Nandini and Mouli . Neither on has been shown as a shady vampish character, rather very mature and sensible women of our times. I am more than 200 pc sure they will be equally fair to both ladies and keep them both dignified when the EMA revelation happens too. The PH is sphere origins who have made Astitva and Balika Vadhu and they know how to be fair and sensitive to both the women in this kind of angle. Let us wait till they get to the EMA and then decide.
I get it that there are people who oppose or mock things just for the sake of it and there are extremities on both sides of it. Anyways don't want to get into it further because that is not the topic of discussion here. š
I also agree to whatever you wrote about DSDT and Silsila. When I started watching Silsila I knew what to expect. The complaint here is not about the storyline, but the execution. Probably because of the same reason as you mentioned, the show coming from a PH like SO, I expected a mature handling of the subject. (Ofcourse as per my personal perception of mature handling). So I have problems with how Kunal's feelings are getting portrayed. I know this is just the start and in future I may start liking it again depending upon the twists and turns, but as of now I find it disappointing.
This comparison between both shows is coming to our minds because it is inevitable!! Though both shows had totally different contexts, eventually DSDT turned out to be a very similar story, there are so many parallelisms that one can draw. Imagine about the TV audience out there, they had watched something very similar, in the same timeslot, just a couple of months back, where a wife ended up being the ultimate loser. So some prejudice, some expectations, will obviously be there on their minds while watching Silsila. Having said this, I still haven't lost hopes that Silsila turns out to be different in showing a sensible conclusion to all three characters, without being unfair to any one of them, more specifically both the girls.
