You said it so well Sanj .A lot of us have family and friends to back us up lest something goes wrong but what about people like Nandini that don't really have anyone to support them? What people dont realise is saying things and practically doing those things in the same situation are two different things. It's always easy to say "hey she could do this or hey she shouldnt be doing this" but in reality things arent as simple as that. Marriages mean a lot to many women out there in our country even today. Scores of them take years to come out of abusive marriages. So many reasons as to why they put up with it- societal stigma related to broken marriages and divorces, the whole idea of pati parmeshwar and whatever he says is your gospel ,lack of support from family and friends, lack of financial stability and the list goes on. It isnt as easy as saying "oh I wouldnt be doing this".What the person goes through in that situation and why she chooses to do it and under what circumstances..its all going to be different for everyone and only the person going through it can understand and feel the real pain. Also as far as Nandini is concerned I am already seeing small signs of protest. All she needs is a little bit of support and push to break completely free and stand up for herself which will come to her in the form of her friends Kunal and Mouli. I have a feeling her character is going to be the dark horse here .See we still don't know what the real Nandini is like at the moment because this Nandini is way too suppressed, afraid and confined to be herself anymore..So on what basis do we judge her right now? We will see who the real Nandini is only once she gets rid of her abusive husband and is free to be herself once again..Her real personality isnt out yet and I am waiting to see that shift in her character so I can assess and judge how she really is as a person and what sets her apart from the others.

Abuse is REAL n frankly speaking the reliability for me is becoming a issue
Those who keep judging Nandini and questioning her stance on why she cries and takes the shit she takes when she could earn or leave etc etc
The answer would be very LOW SELF-ESTEEM, Rajdeep hasn't only beaten her physically but mentally broke her will power to fight back. Maybe he isn't the only one either to harm her thinking, probably there were more (in her past, over-protection etc). If Nandini is like this, then there's always a plausible reason

She may not be relatable, at least not to you n I but she might be the voice of many sufferers out there

But the biggest thing we are forgetting is that this is a FICTIONAL show and we watch for FICTIONAL characters, how was Twilight, Harry Potter etc anywhere relatable yet they all told a story. Similarly Silsila is saying a story which I find both interesting and entertaining.

1.9 MILLION adults (16-56) of both genders have experienced domestic violence in 2017, UK.
So yes abuse and domestic violence is as real as it gets

PS sorry for the rant, the term relatable was getting on my nerves lol
N if time permits I'd tell you both personal n TV accounts detailing the same, Little Mo went down in soap opera books not because she was relatable but because she had a story which needed showcasing

Good night n sorry (don't mean to offend anyone but any form of violence or rather lack of recognitions frustrates me)

It is so true and I have witnessed so many real cases like this that it always hurt me. I saw "Secret Superstar" recently and I know exactly same incident. While I was in hospital I heard a pregnant woman escaped because her husband was forcing her to abort the child , I heard from a nurse that this is her 5th abortion. When Doctors denied to do the abortion the husband decided to take her to another clinic. And she escaped from the clinic just the night before he could take her.
